About me

During the crisis, I have been working via Zoom and telephone. Recently, I have resumed work from my counselling room, face-to-face, complying with guidelines.

Hypnotherapy can be enhanced with individually-tailored "reinforcements", sent direct to your inbox. When you are craving a cigarette or junk food; when you are feeling anxious or hopeless, these reinforcements can help you through.

The hypnotherapy I practice is gentle, collaborative, effective. It begins with deep relaxation, which most clients find enjoyable.

Once the conscious mind is quietened, through this relaxation process, the subconscious can be addressed. It is in the subconscious that unwanted habits and fears lurk - the urge to smoke or to eat unhealthy food, for example.

Hypnotherapy can help clients to recognize, and overcome, long-standing and deep-rooted issues. Whether you experience generalized anxiety, fear of travel, social phobia, performance anxiety or addiction, hypnotherapy may be able to help you.

I offer a fifty-minute introductory session, completely free of charge. The session is used to discuss your issues and lifestyle. I will also explain how hypnotherapy works in general, and how I work in particular. At the end of this session, you will have a good idea as to whether I can help you.

I love to see clients overcoming their addictions or banishing their fears and phobias. I love to see clients happier, healthier, stronger and more optimistic about the future than ever before.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have been running a hypnotherapy practice in Chorlton for eight years. Previously, I spent five years helping clients to overcome addictions, in rehab and detox centres in Manchester. Prior to that, I worked with clients experiencing mental health issues.

Helping to understand and calm fears is a specialism. Hypnotherapy can be a highly effective tool in the treatment of persistent anxiety and insomnia.

Helping people to stop smoking is a passion. In 2015, I hosted a free "Stop Smoking Through Hypnotherapy" event in Manchester. In October 2018, I was interviewed live for "Radio City Talk" about hypnotherapy and stopping smoking.

I have extensive experience in the complex area of food and dysfunctional eating. I am happy to discuss hypnotherapy, food and weight, in the introductory session.

I hold a Diploma (distinction) in Hypnotherapy from Chrysalis, an accredited professional training scheme. I have a BA in Philosophy from the University of Essex, and MA in Creative Writing from the University of Manchester. I am also a fully-qualified Counsellor.

If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Additional information

The introductory session is free of charge. This is used to decide whether we can work successfully together.

Normally, fees are £50 per hour-long session. I offer lower rates if you book 4 or 6 sessions.

If you cannot afford my regular fee, give me a call or text and we can discuss the matter.


I am not accepting new clients right now. I review this situation regularly. However, it is unlikely that I will have any spare capacity before September 2021.
