About me
As an integrative therapist, professional hypnotherapist and EMDR practitioner, I adapt approaches and techniques from different types of therapy to tailor a therapeutic approach specifically for you.
When faced with low mood, stress, anxiety, lack of confidence, self-criticism or grief, it's hard to find the strength and resilience needed to get through the challenges life throws our way.
Can we really overcome our issues without knowing what is happening inside our minds and bodies? Can we really find happiness and enjoyment in life without learning and understanding why we feel the way we feel, or behave the way we behave?

Training, qualifications & experience
SCT Therapy was established in 2018 after I qualified as a Professional Hypnotherapist (DPH), covering a wide range of issues, as well as a stress management (CertSMC) and weight management (CertWMS) consultant and a smoking cessation specialist (CertSCS). I am trained in NLP (DNLP). I am also qualified/trained as:
- EMDR Practitioner, including EMDR Flash Technique
- IEMT - Integral Eye Movement Therapist
- Menopause Wellbeing Practitioner
- Mental Health First Aider
- Life Coach
- Counselling Skills
- EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique
I am an accredited member of the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC), IEMT Association and First Person Plural (trauma-informed services and complex dissociation). I am also a student member of National Counselling Society with Level 3 in Counselling Skills, which compliments my practice.
Member organisations
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

My normal fees are:
- £45 for initial therapy assessment (1 hour)
- £70 for on-line therapy sessions (1 hour)
- £75 for in person therapy sessions (1 hour)
- 10% discount offered for packages of 6 therapy sessions (pre-booked/paid)
- 20% discount offered for smoking/vaping cessation (pre-booked/paid)
- Therapy workshops/workgroups are priced separately
