About me

There is never a better time to begin making a positive change.

Hi I'm Nia

Hypnotherapy changed my life and there is a good chance it can change yours too.

I specialise in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy which helps my clients overcome the symptoms associated with Anxiety or Depression. These include phobias, addictions unwanted habits, weight loss/weight gain, anger and low mood, Lack of motivation or confidence and so much more. Due to its gentle effective nature the therapy is suitable for children as well as adults.

I am also a Hypnobirthing practitioner and work with expectant parents to prepare them for easier, gentle birth experiences and parenthood.

Hypnotherapy at The Heath Practice is a gentle, natural process. I use a combination of Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy meaning that we will spend some time talking and some time in Hypnosis/trance. (which is really enjoyable - like a massage for the mind)

Don't be worried by the 'Hypno' element. Stage Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy are worlds apart. Far from losing control and being made to do something against your will, Hypnotherapy at The Heath Practice will help you regain control and work towards making new, healthier thought patterns and behaviours subtly within your subconcious mind. Hypno means sleep and that is all you will experience, a pleasant light daydream sleep! And you don't even need to be overly susceptible everyone can benefit.

If you have any questions about Hypnotherapy or my practice please feel free to email or call, I am always happy to help with no obligation.

Member organisations

Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy

The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.

The General Hypnotherapy Register

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
