About me
Hello my name is Karen Spilsbury, and I love helping my clients develop the tools they need to cope with all of life’s challenges. I love hypnotherapy for its flexibility, ensuring that my client receives a tailor-made, professional service, where your needs are focused upon 100%.
I treat a wide range of issues to include anxiety, stress and depression, weight loss, stopping smoking, panic attacks, low self confidence, fears and phobias (including flying, driving, heights, claustrophobia, agoraphobia, giving presentations etc), pain relief, anger management, teeth grinding, insomnia, fertility issues, exam and driving test confidence, sports performance, general relaxation and much more.
Hypnotherapy is a safe therapy, that enables YOU, the client, to focus your attention on the suggestions made by me, the hypnotherapist, by relaxing your body and mind. It empowers the client to take back control of their lives, and learning self-hypnosis enables the client to continue that improvement.

The Society seeks to contribute to public wellbeing both through the use of hypnotherapy and by ensuring that hypnotherapists are safe, competent and ethical in practice.

I am a certified Kinetic Shift Practitioner - Kinetic Shift is a rapid method combining several different techniques to resolve Fears, Phobias, Anxiety, Weight Loss, Smoking and even PTSD and much more. We all know that we can’t express everything we want to verbally, so we use several other methods of communication and that is key to Kinetic Shift.
Sub-modalities, Confusion, Metaphors, Intuition and Theatrical are the elements that make up Kinetic Shift and clients often really enjoy it and I have used it to help many clients achieve excellent results from addictions to weight loss, from Trauma to PTSD, from phobias to confidence issues and from IBS to Pain Management.
