About me

Hi, I'm Jessie, a very well qualified Hypnotherapist, who has both trained and practiced in the USA as well as the UK.

I work from therapy room locations in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire; Marlow, Buckinghamshire and Ascot, Berkshire.

In an effort to deliver both quality therapy as well as convenience, I also offer home visits.

I use a vast array of types of hypnotherapy to teach your mind and body to behave in more beneficial ways for you.

I work particularly well with burnout, stress and anxiety, weight loss, sleep problems, symptoms of menopause, performance anxiety and simple well-being sessions. I also really enjoy working with goal achievement/motivation.

My services aren't limited to the above, though.  You'll find a list of all the conditions I can help you with further down the page.

Sessions are guided by you.  You share with me whatever you'd like to and you tell me what you'd like to work on.  I work hard to understand your mind to recognize exactly what you need so I can deliver personally tailored hypnotherapy to you, rather than generic one-size-fits-all scripting.

If you're interested in developing a rapport with your hypnotherapist, while feeling heard and understood, and receiving hypnotherapy for real results, then I hope you'll choose to reach out.

I offer a free initial 20 minute phone consultation, to answer your questions and to ensure we are a good fit for one another.

I really look forward to hearing from you very soon.

Training, qualifications & experience

I first trained in the USA in 2008 as a hypnotherapist through the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH), the oldest and largest hypnotherapy association in the world. My mentor was one Michael Hathaway who is currently a Board Certified Fellow of the NGH and author of several books.  An excellent mentor and hypnotherapist.

I had a successful practice in Portland, Maine, USA, and later in the Lakes Region of Maine, on the back of this training.,

Years later, I relocated to the Surrey/Berkshire border in the UK, and found that I wanted to upskill to meet UK Core Curriculum requirements, and so I then trained at HypnoTC in London, UK. Through this training, I received the NGH certification (again!) as well as the HypnoTC Diploma, during one of the most comprehensive hypnotherapy training courses available.
I have also completed the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD) offered by the National Council of Hypnotherapists (NCH)

Certified Hypnotherapist - National Guild of Hypnotists - 2008 in USA

BA in Psychology with a Mental Health concentration and Minors in Philosophy and Sociology - Southern New Hampshire University, USA - 2010 - 2013

My own personal practice in Maine, USA receiving private paying clients between 2014 and 2017.

Certified Hypnotherapist - National Guild of Hypnotists - 2023 in London, UK

Diploma in Hypnotherapy - HypnoTC - 2023 in London, UK

HPD - NCH - 2024, UK.

Member organisations

Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.

In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.

A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH)

The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.

There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Weight gain, simple binge eating, raising self esteem, developing charisma, goal achievement, performance enhancement, stage fright, nail biting, motivation, psychogenic infertility, general well-being.

Additional information

Treatment Sessions:

I charge an initial consultation fee of £150 for an hour and a half (90 mins) session to include a thorough intake and a complete well-being session.

This initial session lays the foundation for creating a treatment plan.  It's an opportunity for us to discuss your areas of concern thoroughly, and for me to deliver a complete well-being session for you.  In some cases, treatment also begins in this session. This intake is substantial and invaluable in terms of the treatment delivered subsequently.

Each subsequent session thereafter costs £110 and they last one hour each.

Packages of three sessions and six sessions are available at a discount.

Where three sessions are booked ahead, there will be a discount of £20 off each hour long session, and where six sessions are booked ahead, there will be a discount of £30 off each hour long session.

It is typically preferable to allow for an absolute minimum of 3 sessions, in order for the issue to resolved well and with long-lasting results. It isn't uncommon for this to stretch to 4 to 6 sessions.  Very often, during the first session, we develop an idea of how to move forward and agree on a plan together.

Experiential Sessions and Well-Being Sessions:

Where there isn't a specific issue to treat but you'd like to experience hypnotherapy, or would simply like a well-being session, these are available as individual sessions.

These are 90 minute sessions at £150.00.  These do not treat conditions.  They can be likened to a relaxing massage but for the mind primarily, although the body often benefits too!
