Covid-19 and Hypnotherapy
After considering government advice from Monday 16th March I am continuing appointments as usual, with enhanced hygiene measures. Hypnotherapy is a low risk non-contact interaction. However, if you prefer there is also the option to conduct hypnotherapy sessions via video calling.
There is a sink, soap and hand towels and/or hand sanitizer available at every session. I am cleaning my hands in between sessions and will ask that you do the same when you arrive and leave. I am cleaning used surfaces, technology, and chair arms after every client. You are very welcome to bring your own towel or cover. I will endeavour to keep at least 1 metre distance apart during the majority of each session, as recommended by WHO.
I will only go ahead with appointments if I am free from a cough and temperature, and I haven’t been in contact with anyone with those symptoms. If you have a cough or high temperature or or if you’ve been in contact with someone who is displaying these symptoms then please let me know and we can either re-arrange our appointment or we can arrange a video appointment.
For enhanced safety if you would rather not wait in the waiting area before your session, just wait in your car and text me when you arrive, I will then call back when ready and you can go straight to the treatment room.
Deborah is a Senior Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist with 19 years experience of hypnotherapy. She is a member of The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and a Professional Standards Agency accredited register of therapists approved for G.P. referral. She specialises in stress & anxiety, emotional problems, weight loss, addiction, smoking cessation, habits, fears and phobias.
Her success rate was assessed from January to December 2013 and was found to be 95%. This success rate combined with her experience and degree level qualifications has led to Deborah to becoming one of the country's most highly valued and sought after hypnotherapists.
Deborah is co-founder of the Curative Hypnotherapy Clinic, where the advanced techniques of analytical and curative hypnotherapy are practiced. These more advanced techniques are distinguishable from other forms of hypnotherapy in that they achieve a permanent resolution for a wide range of conditions and issues.
In the past Deborah herself has achieved weight loss and resolved anxiety and IBS through hypnotherapy. In addition, she beat her addiction to nicotine when she succeeded in quitting smoking 20 years ago. As a result she went on to co-found the Curative Hypnotherapy Clinic where she uses her insight into the effect of the mind on emotional and physical states to help others achieve health and well-being. Deborah is an empathetic therapist and uses a range of approaches in her practice to ensure each patient is treated sensitively and effectively to overcome even the most difficult problems.
Deborah specialises in stress and anxiety, weight loss, addiction, smoking cessation, fears and phobias, emotional issues, insomnia, obsessions/OCD and low self esteem/confidence. A full list of the range of conditions that Deborah successfully treats can be found on the Curative Hypnotherapy Clinic website.

Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The General Hypnotherapy Register
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
