About me
Deborah is a Senior Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist with 25 years experience of hypnotherapy. She specialises in stress & anxiety, emotional problems, weight loss, addiction, smoking cessation, habits, fears and phobias.
Deborah’s success rate was assessed from January to June 2024 and was found to be 95%. This success rate combined with many years of experience helping others through solution focused hypnotherapy and teaching, means Deborah is a much sought after and valued Senior Registered Hypnotherapist both nationally and internationally.
In the past Deborah herself has resolved anxiety issues and IBS through hypnotherapy. In addition, she has established a healthy relationship with food and beat her addiction to nicotine when she succeeded in quitting smoking. These experiences led to her founding The Hypnotherapy Practice, where she uses her insight into the effect of the mind on emotional and physical states to help others achieve health and well-being. Deborah is an empathetic therapist and uses a range of approaches in her practice to ensure each patient is treated sensitively and effectively to overcome even the most difficult problems.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information
As well as face to face sessions, I am now also using an online format for hypnotherapy sessions. These types of sessions have long been used by therapists the world over and they are an effective way of accessing therapy remotely, particularly during these difficult times, when anxiety is high.
I use a platform called Zoom which is very stable, secure and free. I will send you full instructions on how to access the session via the Zoom app and can talk you through it on the phone if need be. The cost of these sessions will be £90 for the first session and £60 for every session after that.
