About me

Am I qualified?

I am a qualified hypnotherapist on an Accredited Register that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. I was a qualified social worker for more than 37 years before training as a hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner.

In addition to these qualifications I have training in past life regression.

My background

I was born and brought up in Brisbane, Australia but have lived in the UK for most of my adult life.

I believe we should all be as happy as we can be in our lives. I am committed to working with people who are feeling blocked by some issue in their life, whether it is a fear, phobia, habit, anxiety or earlier or past life experience. I offer a free no-obligation consultation session to talk about how I might be able to help you.

I am passionate about helping others to resolve issues from their past or present so they can move on to lead happier lives. I take a person-centred approach to helping people solve their own problems as I believe that they are the expert in their own life. I generally work with people whose issues are considered to be "sub-clinical", below the threshold for medical services to intervene.

Why hypnotherapy?

I have qualified as a hypnotherapist because I wanted to use my people skills more therapeutically to help people lead a happier life through resolving some of the issues and psychological and emotional barriers they have built over the years.

How can you get in touch with me?

Please contact me via phone, email or my website to arrange a mutually convenient time for a free half hour consultation session where we can talk about your concern and see how I can help you.   The free consultation session is conducted by zoom.  It may also be used as the introductory session, including setting therapy goals if you decide to go ahead.   We will then arrange a mutually convenient time and date for the session, in person or via zoom.

What can you expect in the first session?

I offer face to face to services in Sheffield and across the world via Zoom. All sessions are in English only.

Most sessions involve some hypnotherapy unless we agree to use another therapeutic approach such as NLP or coaching.

I will direct you back to the website where payment is easily made via PayPal or card prior to the session.  Zoom sessions may be recorded if you wish. All past life regression sessions are recorded as an audio file and sent to you electronically (alongside a transcript)

Can I help you?

My areas of interest include:

  • Past Life Regression – using hypnotherapy to access past lives to support healing or understanding in a current life. This is my specialist interest.
  • Inner Child Healing – working to resolve issues from your earlier life that are causing problems in your current life, such as self-sabotaging behaviour in partner, family, social and work relationships
  • Stop Smoking – helping you to become a non-smoker
  • Stress and Anxiety – working to help you deal with anxiety and stress that is affecting your life
  • Fears and Phobias – help with desensitisation to most kinds of issues, e.g. spiders, flying, buttons, lifts, animals, clowns, cyberchondria, etc
  • Habits and Compulsions- e.g. insomnia and sleep problems, stuttering, blushing, bruxism (teeth grinding), bedwetting, hair pulling
  • Confidence and Self-Esteem building - e.g. work, school, exams, relationships, low self-confidence or self-esteem, inner child, emotional issues, etc
  • Pain management - e.g. tinnitus, arthritis, cluster headaches

If your issue is not covered above, please contact me to discuss whether I can help you.

Sessions are generally 90 minutes in length, except for stop smoking which is 2 hours.

Most sessions cost about £70 for the first session; subsequent sessions are £60. (See website for more details)

Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
