About me
I am a highly qualified and experienced hypnotherapist and hypno-psychotherapist working in Chester. I am Complementary and Natural Health Care (CNHC) registered and offer a caring and professional therapeutic service, focusing on working with you to make positive and lasting changes
As one of Chester's most highly qualified hypnotherapists, I specialise in working with anxiety and have experience in working with a wide range of issues including health anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, extreme shyness, fears and generalised anxiety.
As well as working with anxiety, I offer help to individuals with a wide range of issues including eating problems, insomnia and sleep issues, self esteem issues, lack of confidence, irritable bowel syndrome, smoking cessation and weight management.
I am warm and non-judgemental and will work with you to make the changes you're seeking. My aim is to help you to make lasting changes in as short a time as possible, working with you to find solutions. I focus on the importance of the therapeutic relationship and believe that every person is individual, so each and every session is tailored accordingly.
Hypnotherapy and hypno-psychotherapy are very effective for all kinds of anxiety treatment Chester and I am experienced in working with many different types of anxiety.
Training, qualifications & experience
I offer a professional, safe and confidential service and am highly trained, experienced and skilled. I have been a qualified Hypnotherapist since 2005 and have also trained at Masters Level as a Hypno-psychotherapist, with the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy; one of the longest established schools of Hypnotherapy / Hypno-psychotherapy in the UK and a recognised centre of excellence accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the UK’s leading professional body for the education, training and accreditation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors.
I am fully qualified to work remotely via Skype or zoom, so can offer remote therapy as well, meaning no matter what you will be able to access therapy with me, from the comfort of your own home!
I am an anxiety specialist and have advanced anxiety qualifications and a wealth of experience in this area.
I am also a qualified Human Social Functioning practitioner. Human Social Functioning along with its assessment tool the HSF Scale can help you to make changes in your life.
The HSF scale has questions across a range of areas touching both satisfaction and frustration in daily life.
Your responses to the questions provide an indication as to how your energy is being used and by how much, whether positively (providing satisfaction) or negatively (experiencing frustrations).
When your answers are scored, the results are drawn out as a diagram so that you can see the balance of your functioning in terms of frustration and satisfaction and the areas where you can start to make changes. This gives you the control over your progress towards your goal.

Coronavirus Concerns
I have had so many people contact me over the past months, struggling to deal with their anxiety surrounding the increasingly distressing global situation regarding the Coronavirus. Both new clients and existing ones are concerned about starting or carrying on with a course of therapy, and wondering what to do.
During the current situation, it is increasingly important that people look after their mental health and wellbeing. Some years ago I undertook a qualification with the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy in working with clients on-line. This can be via FaceTime, Skype or Zoom, or over the telephone, and clients can be in the comfort of their own home.
So this is an option that is available to new and existing clients. Whilst being in isolation, mental wellbeing doesn’t have to suffer . During this time I am offering FREE 30 minute telephone consultations, so please contact me via my details above or through my website www.hypnochester.co.uk
