About Me
I’m Leonora Paul, an award-winning Clinical Hypnotherapist, NLP Practitioner, and Transformational Coach based in Merseyside. I see clients face-to-face in my private Garden Clinic and work with clients across the whole of the UK through secure online sessions via Zoom.
I’m registered with the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) and the International Association of Complementary Therapists (IACT). My training comes from two of the most respected names in the field. I qualified through the Clifton Practice (CPHT), widely regarded as the gold standard in hypnotherapy education, and I have also trained directly with Ali Campbell, one of the world’s most celebrated life coaches, NLP Master Practitioners, and hypnotherapists. Ali is a bestselling author whose work has reached millions of people globally. He has personally selected and trained me to teach his Hypnotherapy Practitioner Academy, which is something I’m incredibly proud of.
I know first-hand what it feels like when anxiety takes over your life. My own hypnotherapy journey began when I started waking at 3am every night, overwhelmed by anxiety, brain fog, and lost confidence alongside the exhausting symptoms of perimenopause. Hypnotherapy gave me my life back, and that experience is at the heart of everything I do for my clients.
Anxiety
Do any of these sound familiar?
You wake at 3am with your mind already racing and can’t get back to sleep. You feel on edge constantly, like something bad is about to happen even when everything is fine. Your body is exhausted but your brain simply won’t switch off. You’re snapping at people you love, cancelling plans, or just going through the motions. Physical symptoms like a tight chest, churning stomach, tension headaches, IBS, or migraines are making daily life harder than it needs to be. You’ve lost confidence in yourself and can’t remember the last time you felt calm.
Anxiety is the most common reason people come to see me, and it’s also where I see some of the most remarkable changes. Whether your anxiety is affecting your sleep, your relationships, your work, or your physical health, I can help you understand why it’s happening and, more importantly, help your mind find a calmer and more settled way of being.
Stop Smoking and Stop Vaping
Does this sound like you?
You’ve tried patches, gum, apps, and sheer willpower and you keep going back to it. You feel frustrated and maybe even ashamed that you haven’t been able to quit, even though you desperately want to. You’re worried about what smoking or vaping is doing to your health but the habit feels bigger than you. Vaping felt like the safer option, but deep down you want to be completely free. You’re spending money every week on something you wish you’d never started. And somewhere in the back of your mind you worry that quitting will mean weight gain, irritability, or feeling like you’re missing something.
I am a Master Practitioner of the Breathe Quit Technique (BQT), a powerful quit programme that combines Clinical Hypnotherapy, NLP, and CBT. It works by addressing both the psychological habit and the emotional dependency, so you walk away feeling free rather than deprived. I’m achieving exceptionally strong results helping people stop smoking and stop vaping for good.

Fears and Phobias
Living with a phobia is exhausting in ways that are hard to explain to people who don’t have one.
You turn down flights, events, or opportunities because of a fear that feels completely out of your control. You avoid medical or dental appointments even when you know you need to go. The fear feels irrational but that knowledge doesn’t make it any less real or any less overwhelming. You feel held back and limited by something others seem to manage without a second thought. And the anxiety builds long before you even face the trigger; just the thought of it can ruin your whole day.
Fears and phobias respond exceptionally well to hypnotherapy. Whether it’s fear of flying, needle phobia, fear of spiders, public speaking anxiety, social anxiety, or exam nerves, I can help you move from avoidance and dread to feeling calm and in control.
Other Areas
As well as my three specialist areas, I also work with clients on:
• Stress and anxiety management
• Insomnia and sleep problems
• Weight loss and weight management
• Building confidence and self-esteem
• Menopausal symptoms including anxiety, sleep disruption, brain fog and
confidence
• IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
Face-to-Face and Online Sessions
I see clients face-to-face in my private Garden Clinic in Merseyside, a calm and comfortable space designed to help you feel completely at ease the moment you arrive.
I also offer online hypnotherapy sessions across the UK via Zoom. Research consistently shows that online sessions are just as effective as in-person sessions, and many clients find them easier since you’re already relaxed in your own space with no travel involved. If you’re not confident with Zoom, I’m happy to offer a free walkthrough before your first session so you feel completely comfortable.
Free Initial Consultation
Every new client receives a free initial consultation. It’s a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where we talk about what you’d like support with, what you’d like your life to look and feel like, and any questions you have about hypnotherapy. There’s no obligation at all, and it’s a lovely way to find out whether we’re the right fit for each other.

What Happens in a Hypnotherapy Session?
Once you've had your free initial consultation and decided to go ahead, your first full session marks the beginning of real, positive change.
The Initial Session
Your first session begins with a thorough consultation where we talk about what's been going on for you, your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and what you'd like life to look like instead. This isn't about dwelling on the past. It's about understanding where you are now and building a clear picture of where you want to be.
You'll also receive a brief, straightforward explanation of how the brain works and why you've been feeling or responding the way you have. Most clients find this genuinely reassuring. Suddenly things make sense, and change feels possible.
The Hypnosis
Once you're settled and comfortable, we move into the hypnosis itself. You'll be guided into a deeply relaxed state, not unconscious, not asleep, and absolutely in control at all times. It's a calm, focused state, similar to being absorbed in a good book or that drifting feeling just before you fall asleep.
In this relaxed state, your subconscious mind becomes more open to positive suggestion. Using carefully chosen language, imagery, and techniques tailored to you, we begin working with the part of the mind where habits, fears, and unhelpful patterns are held, and where lasting change actually happens.
Subsequent Sessions
Follow-up sessions are usually around 50 to 60 minutes. Each one builds on the last. We'll start with a brief check-in on what's shifted, what's felt different, and what you've noticed. Progress is usually faster than people expect, because Solution Focused Hypnotherapy works with your brain's natural ability to change, rather than fighting against it.
The number of sessions varies depending on what you're working on, but most people begin to notice meaningful differences within just a few sessions.
How You'll Feel Afterwards
Most clients leave feeling lighter, calmer, and quietly optimistic. The hypnosis itself is deeply relaxing and many people describe it as one of the most restful experiences they've had. Over time, as sessions accumulate, the changes begin to feel more natural and permanent.
