About me
Book your free introduction call for hypnotherapy with Keith Dewey, online or in Surrey, UK.
Keith Dewey primarily specialises in clinical hypnotherapy for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (hypnosis for IBS), including gut pain and toilet troubles (hypnosis for IBS-D diarrhoea, and hypnosis for IBS-C constipation).
Before treatment, clients often mention the need to go to the toilet many times before going out, as though they have food poisoning even before reaching the restaurant. This is evidence of your powerful brain-body connection. We retrain the brain to retrain the body.
Keith also has many years of experience using clinical hypnotherapy to help people with symptoms of physical issues, such as chronic pain, fibromyalgia, peripheral neuropathy, migraines, FND, functional tremors, essential tremor, tourettes and tics.
Beneath those issues, he also works with clients to help with anxiety, traumatic memories, insomnia, stress, and social phobias.
Keith incorporates a scientific approach. Medical research into hypnotherapy for IBS has been slow since the 1990s, but several published papers report that basic NHS gut-focused hypnotherapy helped 75% to 80% of long-term IBS patients. One report included 1,000 people, with many patients experiencing long-term improvements after a few IBS hypnosis treatment sessions.
Medical research shows that IBS Hypnotherapy can help.
Keith makes treatment sessions easy, with a calm, welcoming, caring and enjoyable approach. He will help you feel better.
Keith provides a range of therapies, including hypnotherapy, NLP, BWRT®, Havening, psychotherapy and counselling, online via Zoom, or at the relaxing Tillow Barn countryside clinic, near Dorking and Reigate in Surrey.
Keith is ready to help you feel better. Change can be quick.

The British Association of Therapeutical Hypnotists (BAThH) was the first constituted body for Professional Hypnotherapists in the UK and a founder member of the United Kingdom Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations (UKCHO).
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.

The International Hypnotherapy Association is one of the leading organisations supporting hypnotherapists in practice. Established in 1997 and representing several hundred therapists, you can be sure to find the properly qualified, ethical and experienced practitioner to meet your needs, wherever you are in the world.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members. There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
The National Hypnotherapy Society is a Learned Society whose primary purpose is the advancement of the knowledge of hypnotherapy and the fostering of professional hypnotherapy expertise through training, accreditation and continued professional development of their members. The Society seeks to contribute to public wellbeing both through the use of hypnotherapy and by ensuring that hypnotherapists are safe, competent and ethical in practice.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
