About me

* Coronavirus Update*

I'm pleased to announce that I'll be able to offer face to face sessions again at Beacon Medical Centre in Crowborough on weekdays as of 6 July 2020, and at Acorn Clinic in Ashurst Wood on Saturdays as of 1 August 2020.

Sessions via Skype are also available if you're unable to or prefer not to attend sessions in person.

If you'd simply like some quiet time away from it all and help with feeling calmer and more in control, email me and I'll send you a link so you can download my 'Going with the Flow' recording - it's completely free of charge, and I promise not to share your address with third parties or use it for marketing.

I know what it's like to feel stuck - to want to take control of the problem, move forward, get on with life, but not know how. I've dealt with numerous challenges of my own and helped many people who came to me feeling as you probably feel now. So I also know it's possible to overcome difficulties and bring about positive change using the power of the mind, and I could help you do the same.

Although I use hypnotherapy most of the time, I have many other 'tools' to help you get free of whatever's getting in the way of living your life to the full, whether that's anxiety, an annoying or harmful habit, difficulty sleeping, excess weight, a phobia, distressing memories, the discomfort and embarrassment of IBS or something else.

I've been in clinical practice for over 15 years, and have probably worked with a difficulty such as yours before - please take a look at 'Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with' below, and even if you don't see your problem mentioned, do get in touch anyway, as I may still be able to help you.

So, now you've found something that could help you move forward, what are the next steps?

Firstly, contact me to arrange a telephone consultation for you to tell me about yourself, your situation and what you'd like to achieve. The consultation normally takes about 30 minutes and is completely free of charge and without obligation.

Going on from there, if you decided to take things further, we'd meet for as many one-hour sessions as you need to get you to where you want to be. These would be about a week apart initially, with longer gaps between them once you'd begun to notice improvements. Some people experience amazing transformations in just a couple of sessions, but most need three or four. This applies to anything other than smoking cessation, which is usually a single session, and the IBS programme, which consists of five.

And along the way, I'd help you believe, perhaps for the first time ever, that you're much more in control than you thought you were.

To arrange a free, no-obligation telephone consultation or simply have a confidential chat to find out more and help you decide whether I and what I offer feel 'right' for you, please call me on 07989 684671. You can also contact me by clicking on 'Message me' at the top right of this profile.  Replies to email messages unfortunately sometimes get lost, so if you don't hear back from me within about 24 hours and can't find anything in your junk folder, please contact me again.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Further information

Just some of the feedback I've had from clients:

"I just wanted to say all is good, things are looking up for the future and I couldn't feel better. Thank you so much for what you have done, I am so glad I visited you. It's inspired me so much that I am looking to possibly get into a hypnotherapy career in the future. Thank you so much." Aaron B. (Anxiety and confidence issues)

"I was scared of mice and rats since childhood. I couldn't even look at a dead one or watch one on TV without a feeling of panic. One day I had to get my 8 year old daughter to hold my hand and guide me along a pavement because I had seen a rat run behind a bin and refused to open my eyes - I realised it was time to do something about it. One session with Jayne has changed everything. I am definitely still not a fan of rodents but the feeling of panic has gone and I can even pick the ones up that the cat brings me!" Charlotte D.

"Jayne, a short note to say thank you. I was very overwhelmed and anxious when I came to see you. After our first session I felt more relaxed and hopeful that I would finally feel better. It only took a few sessions of hypnotherapy (and some wise advice from you) to help put everything into perspective. Thank you also for teaching me the other techniques such as EFT and the breathing techniques that have helped me if ever I've been in a tricky situation since my therapy with you." L.G.

"Just thought I would send you a message just to say the most enormous thank you! I just gave a speech in front of a full lecture and (not to toot my own horn) but nailed it! I didn't have any shaky voice or hands, I could control my breathing, I spoke slowly and calmly and even had eye contact with the audience. I am now on cloud nine and over the moon - so thank you very much!!" Catherine B.

"In March 2019 I had decided I needed help with giving up smoking after no luck with patches or vaping. I found Jayne very calm, kind and reassuring, she asked lots of questions about my reasons and fears about giving up smoking after all these years, I was able to explain my concerns of weight gain and my families worry about being grumpy after giving up smoking, she reassured me and explained everything that was going to happen during the session. I was aware of everything during the session to the point where I thought nothing was actually happening! I came out of the appointment feeling very calm and relaxed...and I have not smoked at all, my family (and I) are amazed!! It's now 6 months on and I am so pleased." Karen D.

"After each session I felt relaxed and recharged. Jayne helped me overcome many situations that I was anxious about before. I highly recommend her." Maria R.

"I cannot recommend more! I started the 5 session IBS course with Jayne back in September. I had social anxiety that I had been dealing with for several years which had been playing a significant part in the appearance of IBS symptoms, pains and discomforts. I would often experience nausea, headaches, stomach cramps and much more. I followed the course fairly meticulously, as instructed by Jayne, in order to achieve the maximum benefit; I ensured I listened to the recordings every evening (maybe I forgot a couple of times). The differences between how I feel now and when I started the course are beyond what I imagined. My anxiety has almost completely gone along with my IBS symptoms. To put the icing on the cake, friends and family have commented on how they have noticed an improvement in my mood and general well being." Tish B.

"I contacted Jayne for hypnotherapy after I was told by my dentist I would need two 90 minute sessions of root canal treatment. I can manage a regular appointment, but the thought of being in a dentist chair for that length of time filled me with anxiety. At the same time, I didn't want to be sedated, I wanted to face my fear. I saw Jayne after she was recommended by a fellow business network member who had had a fear of needles, injections and blood tests. She put me at my ease and was able to get to exactly what I was afraid of. Jayne's treatment, along with a personalised CD/download enabled me to have all the dental treatment I needed. I still felt a level of trepidation, but was able to manage my fear and, as predicted by Jayne, I felt elated and stronger as a result. I found Jayne's hypnotherapy treatment to be very beneficial and will definitely see her again if I need to." Mrs Roberts

"I needed an operation on my shoulder but was traumatized by my experience of the anaesthetic procedure on a previous operation. I was having sleepless nights that I might see the same anaesthetist and my fear was preventing me from having the op. I went to see Jayne and we talked through what had happened in the past. I had a couple of hypnotherapy sessions with her and went for my op. Not only did I feel calmer, but I felt strong enough to explain to the anaesthetist (who was the one I had seen before) what had upset me so much. I highly recommend Jayne's hypnotherapy. She has not only helped reduce my anxiety towards the anaesthetic experience but has given me the confidence to be more assertive with my doctors." Anonymous
