About me

I know what it's like to feel stuck - to want to take control of the problem, move forward, get on with life, but not know how. I've dealt with numerous challenges of my own and helped many people who came to me feeling as you probably feel now. So I also know it's possible to overcome difficulties and bring about positive change using the power of the mind, and I could help you do the same.

Although I use hypnotherapy most of the time, I have many other 'tools' to help you get free of whatever's getting in the way of living your life to the full, whether that's anxiety, an annoying or harmful habit, difficulty sleeping, excess weight, a phobia, distressing memories, the discomfort and embarrassment of IBS or something else.

I've been in clinical practice for over 19 years, and have probably worked with a difficulty such as yours before - please take a look at 'Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with' below. If you don't see your problem mentioned, do please get in touch anyway, as I may still be able to help you.

So, now you've found something that could help you move forward, what are the next steps?

Firstly, contact me by phone or email so we can have or arrange a discovery call for you to tell me about yourself, your situation and what you'd like to achieve. The call normally takes about 30 minutes and is completely free of charge and without obligation.

Going on from there, if you decided to take things further, we'd meet for as many one-hour sessions as you need to get you to where you want to be. These would be about a week apart initially, with longer gaps between them once you'd begun to notice improvements. Some people experience amazing transformations in just a couple of sessions, but most need three or four. The IBS programme consists of five sessions spaced at varying intervals.

And along the way, I'd help you believe, perhaps for the first time ever, that you're much more in control than you thought you were.

To find out more and help you decide whether I and what I offer feel 'right' for you, please call me on 07989 684671. You can also contact me by clicking on 'Email me' at the top of this profile.

Email messages unfortunately sometimes get lost, so if you don't hear back from me within about 24 hours, please contact me again. It would be helpful if you could please include a contact number in your email so I can call you if my reply to you doesn't seem to have reached you.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Just some of the feedback I've had from clients:

"I just wanted to send you some feedback following our two sessions earlier in the year. I have recently enjoyed a trip to the dentist (no work needed despite it being 9 years since last appointment!) and went up the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth yesterday. I can honestly say I felt no real anxiety - just had a quick chat with myself to walk on the glass floor. London Eye booked in October and looking forward to it. Thank you so much for giving me the tools to sort it! You really made a difference." Hilary T. Update - 31 October: "Just wanted to share my day. (Client attached photos to email) Thank you so much - I felt absolutely no anxiety - just thoroughly enjoyed it."

"This is a long overdue thank you. Your last few sessions working with me have been extraordinary and amazing breakthroughs. Thank you as I notice the difference is life changing." Mike

"Little update... Well I am in shock! Utter shock! I have been at home for the last 15 mins just sat on the sofa chilling! I haven't done that in my own apartment since January earlier this year! The thoughts crop up very sporadically, like hardly ever. My thoughts are clear and I can actually think and day dream again of just random lovely nice things or go over work things and plan my day in my head whilst driving rather than a worry wreck and foggy brained and hardly can focus. This is insane! It's magic I swear! My fiancé is due back around 6.45 but still it's 30 mins I never thought I was going to be able to chill and relax in my own home again. I can't wait for weekends he isn't here more evenings where he is out and have freedom in my own apartment. And freedom with driving is so amazing! Jayne thank you so much!" S.L.

"I just wanted to say all is good, things are looking up for the future and I couldn't feel better. Thank you so much for what you have done, I am so glad I visited you. It's inspired me so much that I am looking to possibly get into a hypnotherapy career in the future. Thank you so much." Aaron B.

"I was scared of mice and rats since childhood. I couldn't even look at a dead one or watch one on TV without a feeling of panic. One day I had to get my 8 year old daughter to hold my hand and guide me along a pavement because I had seen a rat run behind a bin and refused to open my eyes - I realised it was time to do something about it. One session with Jayne has changed everything. I am definitely still not a fan of rodents but the feeling of panic has gone and I can even pick the ones up that the cat brings me!" Charlotte D.

"Jayne, a short note to say thank you. I was very overwhelmed and anxious when I came to see you. After our first session I felt more relaxed and hopeful that I would finally feel better. It only took a few sessions of hypnotherapy (and some wise advice from you) to help put everything into perspective. Thank you also for teaching me the other techniques such as EFT and the breathing techniques that have helped me if ever I've been in a tricky situation since my therapy with you." L.G.

"Just thought I would send you a message just to say the most enormous thank you! I just gave a speech in front of a full lecture and (not to toot my own horn) but nailed it! I didn't have any shaky voice or hands, I could control my breathing, I spoke slowly and calmly and even had eye contact with the audience. I am now on cloud nine and over the moon - so thank you very much!!" Catherine B.

"After each session I felt relaxed and recharged. Jayne helped me overcome many situations that I was anxious about before. I highly recommend her." Maria R.

"I cannot recommend more! I started the 5 session IBS course with Jayne back in September. I had social anxiety that I had been dealing with for several years which had been playing a significant part in the appearance of IBS symptoms, pains and discomforts. I would often experience nausea, headaches, stomach cramps and much more. I followed the course fairly meticulously, as instructed by Jayne, in order to achieve the maximum benefit; I ensured I listened to the recordings every evening (maybe I forgot a couple of times). The differences between how I feel now and when I started the course are beyond what I imagined. My anxiety has almost completely gone along with my IBS symptoms. To put the icing on the cake, friends and family have commented on how they have noticed an improvement in my mood and general well being." Tish B.

"I contacted Jayne for hypnotherapy after I was told by my dentist I would need two 90 minute sessions of root canal treatment. I can manage a regular appointment, but the thought of being in a dentist chair for that length of time filled me with anxiety. At the same time, I didn't want to be sedated, I wanted to face my fear. I saw Jayne after she was recommended by a fellow business network member who had had a fear of needles, injections and blood tests. She put me at my ease and was able to get to exactly what I was afraid of. Jayne's treatment, along with a personalised CD/download enabled me to have all the dental treatment I needed. I still felt a level of trepidation, but was able to manage my fear and, as predicted by Jayne, I felt elated and stronger as a result. I found Jayne's hypnotherapy treatment to be very beneficial and will definitely see her again if I need to." Mrs Roberts

"I needed an operation on my shoulder but was traumatized by my experience of the anaesthetic procedure on a previous operation. I was having sleepless nights that I might see the same anaesthetist and my fear was preventing me from having the op. I went to see Jayne and we talked through what had happened in the past. I had a couple of hypnotherapy sessions with her and went for my op. Not only did I feel calmer, but I felt strong enough to explain to the anaesthetist (who was the one I had seen before) what had upset me so much. I highly recommend Jayne's hypnotherapy. She has not only helped reduce my anxiety towards the anaesthetic experience but has given me the confidence to be more assertive with my doctors." Anonymous
