Clinical hypnotherapy is a highly effective and efficient way of directly accessing the brain’s learning system. Access to this system is only ever achieved through the willing conscious and subconscious consent of the client. The therapist is simply there to effectively guide the process in the best way for the client’s needs, as identified during the confidential consultation. During hypnosis the brain is allowed to relax and distance itself from distractions such as anxieties and worries, allowing a total focus on the healing process. It has been shown during rigorous medical scientific research using ECG scans that these distracting areas of the brain are switched off allowing the client’s energies to focus directly onto the issue they are addressing. The effect of the therapy increases by around 10% during each subsequent session. The client gets more adapt at the method while any concerns about “how well the treatment is going” or if “they’re doing it right” fade away as confidence in their ability to heal and learn increases. By the end of the course clients will find that they are able to maintain the effects through the therapeutic methods they have learnt.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

I hold a Mindfulness for Self-compassion group weekly.  The purpose of the group led program is not only to provide support and minimise isolation by meeting like-minded people. I introduce new techniques for self management and development which we practice together throughout the weeks. We are free to introduce topics, and issues or comments from our previous practices in confidentiality and non-judgement. We are also free to simply attend without comment.
