About me

As a trauma-informed Hypnotherapist, I aim to help people understand and process their deeply personal response to difficult or distressing life events. As a hypnotherapist a tool I use to great effect is The Rewind Trauma Technique, as developed by Dr David Muss. The Rewind Technique is not a medical recommendation, although it has proven to be a valuable, rapid, and safe solution to prolonged distress and has helped many people find relief from the impact of trauma, fears, and phobias.

About me:

I have an MA in Clinical Counselling from the University of Chester, and I have worked as a counsellor for a number of years in an NHS Talking Therapies Service. I am a qualified and experienced Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist and Fusion Therapeutic Coach and I have a private practice both online and in person.

My background is in the Performing Arts, I lectured in Contemporary Dance for a number of years before training as a High School Teacher.  I am an approved Healthcare Provider for the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine and One Dance UK.

My work:

I have helped people that have experienced, domestic violence, child sexual abuse, physical assault, coercive controlling relationships and birth trauma. I have also helped people that survived a fatal incident, witness a fatal car crash, and witnessed someone take their own life. Trauma can negatively impact every aspect of your life if not treated and processed.

How I work:

My therapy is personal to you, I listen with the aim of understanding how your experiences impact your life, without making assumptions or trying to fit you into a formula. I am an interactive person-centred therapist, I will be in there with you, without getting in the way of your thoughts, processes, and insights. You will feel supported and held by me as your confident companion through the more painful aspects of the therapeutic process. I will be your ally, as you connect with feelings you may have been avoiding or experiences you may have felt too difficult to explore or examine on your own.

I currently work from my therapy rooms based in Chorlton, South Manchester and Manchester City Centre.
