What is my hypnotherapy approach and what tools do I use to support this change?
I use an integrated, solution-focused approach, which is based on the latest evidence-based research from neuroscience and incorporates the very best elements of Clinical Hypnotherapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Mindfulness.
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy combines a non-invasive form of ‘talking therapy' / psychotherapy (SFBT) with a gentle trance-like state (hypnosis) that puts you in control, replacing negative, anxious thoughts, allowing your mind to be open to positive changes.
This allows you to reshape your thought patterns, emotions (i.e Anxiety) and behaviours towards a desired outcome (feeling better and coping better). We focus on the solution, rather than the problem. Whether this be personal, relationships or even your career.
Does any of this sound familiar? ✔️
- Has anxiety, worry taken control of your life? Are you constantly feeling stressed?
- Have you lost your confidence, have low self-esteem and/or lost motivation?
- Do you feel like you’re stuck in a not very helpful negative cycle (a funk, a rut?)
- Is fear or a phobia holding you back from living the life you want?
- Does life feel really overwhelming right now and you're just plain tired of feeling the stress?
- Are you stuck in a never ending procrastination cycle, lost your motivation, direction and drive, feeling lost either in your personal or professional life?
- Do you wish you could find a way to cope better with anxiety, worry and fear and know things shouldn't be as hard as this?
- Do you feel you are standing on the sideline of your own life right now?
- You are not the person you want to be (and know you can be), whether that's how you feel about life, or even yourself around self-image, your weight, confidence at home or at work /career.
If you're thinking "uh huh, uh huh..." to any of these, the good news is, I can support you in making positive changes! 💪
What are the next steps?
I offer a 60-Minute Initial Consultation / Hypnotherapy Discovery Session (no ½ measures here!) - in-person (Upper Heyford, nr Bicester, Oxfordshire, or online.
This gives you the opportunity to be heard in a secure, non-judgemental and therapeutic space and together we can explore what you would like support with/or to work on, what you want to achieve, how I work and the process and for you to ask me any questions you like. With absolutely know obligation to continue. Therapy is very personal choice.
How many sessions do people need on average?
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy typically involves 6-12 sessions, but the duration can vary depending on your individual needs and progress.
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy harnesses the principles of neuroplasticity to facilitate positive neural pathway changes, allowing you to reshape your thought patterns, emotions and behaviours towards a desired outcome (feeling better and coping better).
It's perfectly normal to feel a bit apprehensive when reaching out to a therapist for more information. Taking this step is a powerful choice, and I want you to know that it's absolutely okay to feel that way. I’m here to provide support and guidance every step of the way and to make you feel totally at ease. 🤗
I have a cosy and comfortable therapy room in Upper Heyford, nr Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX25 (with easy, off-street parking), and therefore easy driving distance from Chipping Norton, Banbury, Kidlington, Buckingham, Brackley, Bucknell, Lower Heyford, Wendlebury, Weston on the Green, Lower Arncott as well as on the border of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire, but I also work online nationally.

If you have any medical or psychological concerns, I strongly recommend consulting with your GP or healthcare provider before booking a session. If you’re unsure whether hypnotherapy is appropriate for you, please feel free to contact me to discuss your situation before proceeding with a booking an initial consultation. Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
info Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
As a Generalist Hypnotherapist, I Work with a Wide Range of Clients
I offer Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy for clients experiencing anxiety, stress, sleep issues, or specific challenges such as sexual health, relationship concerns, and fears/phobias. My approach is flexible and focused on achieving positive, lasting change. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, performance anxiety, sexual health concerns, or emotional barriers to wellbeing, my goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space for everyone.
That said, I also have a special focus on working with the LGBTQIA+ community 🌈. As a gay man, I understand the unique challenges that come with navigating identity, relationships, and sexual health within the LGBTQIA+ community. This personal experience drives my passion for supporting individuals in this space. I do a lot of work with the LGBTQIA+ community, helping clients overcome issues related to anxiety, sexual health, relationships, and self-esteem. I believe it's essential to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where people can explore their identities, address concerns specific to their experiences, and work towards their goals with confidence.
I also have a special interest in Men's Mental Health, particularly in supporting men with psychosexual health challenges, including erectile dysfunction (ED), premature ejaculation (PE), anorgasmia (delayed or absent orgasm), and pornography addiction. These issues can have a significant impact on self-esteem, relationships, and overall quality of life. I believe in providing a compassionate and non-judgmental space where men can openly address these concerns and work towards overcoming them.
Using Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy, I help men tackle the emotional and psychological factors that contribute to sexual difficulties, such as performance anxiety, stress, and negative thought patterns. By working on the subconscious mind, we can address the root causes of ED, PE, and anorgasmia, enabling clients to improve their sexual health and confidence.
Having a background in Human Resources and Recruitment/Sales, I also work with business performance, especially supporting high-pressure sales teams and recruitment consultants. Additionally, I provide corporate wellness services, offering businesses the opportunity to support their employees' mental health and wellbeing through hypnotherapy. If businesses want to offer hypnotherapy as an employee benefit, I can provide set session days (day rate) – feel free to drop me a message.
Ultimately, my goal is to be a resource for anyone who feels they need support. I offer a broad range of hypnotherapy services and tailor my approach to meet the individual needs of each client, helping them to lead more balanced, fulfilling lives.

I've developed healthy habits, and my thoughts/anxiety/stress levels have fallen. I'm now able to take a logical approach and using the tools that Andy has given me, I'm calmer and more in control of my life. Thank you!!!" - Amy (Bicester, Oxfordshire) - Emergency Services
