Inner child healing - healing the past with hypnotherapy and NLP

Having suffered from anxiety and depression for most of my childhood and early adult years due to co-dependency issues and a challenging relationship with my mother, I found therapies such as hypnotherapy very helpful to me. Hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) helped me turn my life around and since then, I have made it my mission to help others also.

Hypnotherapy healing

A hypnotherapy session that is increasing in popularity, allows the client to acknowledge and resolve any memories that may have led to unwanted feelings, reactions and behaviours. The events are not relived but the client is guided to a point in time before the event through hypnotic regression. From that point, the younger version of the client, who experienced the event, is led up to a sacred mountain top and through many effective processes, is guided to release the issue with hypnotherapy healing.

Sometimes the memory that presents itself may not seem significant to the logical mind but can be to the subconscious. For example, a child that may have been rejected when asking other children if he/she could play could find it difficult approaching and socialising with others when older (social anxiety). The adult knows that they are equal to their peers but can’t help the uncomfortable feelings that arise. Social situations may then be avoided, or this person may not feel as comfortable in such situations. This is very common and can provide limiting effects for many.

The good news is that these unwanted feelings do not have to continue. Once these initial events have been resolved, people find that the severity of any subsequent linked events are also reduced. This allows people to grow in confidence naturally.

Most people feel great relief after this first session and notice a remarkable difference in themselves. Further sessions have been shown to develop and provide a stable foundation to support this process and thus provide lasting change.

In these supporting sessions, we may need to heal more memories/events or go through other transformative processes. There are so many effective and worthwhile processes that it is not possible to mention them all here. Just know that they are in the toolkit ready to be used.

What can hypnotherapy help with?

Hypnotherapists help many people with hypnotherapy and NLP and find that hypnotherapy healing and hypnotic regression sessions are very successful for assisting people with a wide variety of issues such as:

  • confidence
  • social confidence
  • anxiety
  • social anxiety
  • panic attacks

  • depression
  • weight loss and more

What to expect from a hypnotherapy session

Sessions can be done via zoom with the same positive effect as face to face work. Whether online or in the therapy room, you'll begin by having an initial chat with your therapist about what you want to achieve and then the various methods used and potential outcomes can be discussed. When the hypnotherapy starts, you'll be guided into a deep state of relaxation where the therapist can make suggestions for how you can handle different situations. Once the session is finished, you'll be guided back to full awareness feeling relaxed and supported.

It's important to feel at ease with your therapist and find one suitable for you. You can research profiles of therapists on Hypnotherapy Directory and drop them a line to find out more about how they can help you.
