About me

Congratulations on making the first step to create change in your life. Because you have clicked on this, it means that there is a part of you willing to make those changes. You may be feeling excited, apprehensive, or even nervous about coming to see a hypnotherapist.

But, whatever has brought you here, it takes a lot to make the decision. I recognise that and will work with you to identify you goals, make you feel relaxed and comfortable with the changes you are about to make.

Whether it's anxiety, weight management, motivation, insomnia, or smoking/vaping cessation or anything else - I have nearly 20 years of experience as a hypnotherapist and I've seen a lot of issues that have responded well to hypnosis.

Hypnosis can work very quickly - you may come for just a few sessions and feel that your issues have been resolved. Or you may need longer term accountability on a monthly basis after a short burst of sessions. This can be particularly helpful for long term weight management goals.

I usually work with people over a period of 3-6 sessions, but sometimes up to around 12 depending on the evidence based for that area of hypnosis. Some people just book in monthly sessions to release stress or adjust long term goals.

Most of my clients come through word of mouth, or because they have read my books. I've been in practice now for nearly 20 years and have experienced a wide range of different issues.

Hypnotherapy is goal focused therapy that will give you the confidence and ability to make positive changes in your life. It's a gentle but powerful therapy which helps you get the most out of life. I also have experience of using hypnosis alongside medical treatment to improve a sense of well-being and to reduce anxiety.

Children also benefit from hypnosis for building confidence, particularly around school, exams and sports. I have advanced DBS clearance.

I have therapy rooms in Grantham and Melton Mowbray but also work online. I use hypnosis with some mindfulness if appropriate, and depending on circumstances will always teach you how to use self-hypnosis so that you are empowered to continue to make positive changes in the long term. You will also be offered audio downloads as part of your therapy so that when you walk out of my door change can continue to happen.

I offer a free telephone consultation so you can be sure that I can work with you, and that you feel comfortable with me.

A bit about myself: I'm an accredited member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy with over 20 years of experience with a masters specialising in symbolism and imagery, a key component of hypnosis. A best selling author I've published 3 books (Penguin Random House) on hypnosis for women's health, around pregnancy, early motherhood and menopause and am considered one of the leading experts in hypnobirthing and perinatal hypnosis. I train other hypnotherapists, have guest lectured at several universities and also practitioners in the NHS.
