Peter Wright ABNLP, TLTA, ABH, GHR, CNHC, MHFA
As people we are not our behaviours, abilities or our beliefs. However, all these things ARE shaped by our perceptions. Consequently I believe if we want to change or learn how to, then it all starts with our perceptions. My mission is to help clients improve their lives and fulfil their potential by guiding them to use their own inner resources.
With my passion of playing and coaching sport, I've studied sports psychology for over 25 years, and with a working life change in 2005, studied sports hypnosis. I soon realised how relevant it was to the effectiveness of most applications of sports and performance psychology. After initially gaining DHyp(S), I continued studies, gaining full Diploma in general hypnotherapy (2007), with one ambition to make a difference in people's lives, not just for sporting clients but for people in all walks of life.
I am a published author with currently ten books on the subject of personal change and development available in both paperback, Kindle and one as an audiobook.
My latest publication is a book for dealing with examination and performance stress for young people, students and performers.
Although based in North Devon, my in-person therapy and coaching work can and has taken me much further afield at times. I have also worked with clients via Facetime and Skype, which brings a level of almost boundless accessibility!

The General Hypnotherapy Register
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
