About me

Being the best we can be, is where my passion lies.

So often we can get caught up in our life programming that it can be hard to see the way out or move forward.

We can work like sleeping magnets for anxiety, depression, fears or addictions and can just magnatise to other unhelpful things that don't necessarily belong to us.

Hypnotherapy is great for clearing away all the unhelpful stuff, and start reprogramming for the life story we want.

Hypnosis is a treatment for the mind to change the body, it can help lessen anxiety, increase confidence, it can enable us to lose weight or gain self esteem, it can reach THAT voice in the back of our minds and invite us to be happy with who we are and what choices we make.

Sometimes we just need to pause and take the space to look at what’s going on for us, have a second pair of trained eyes and a bit of support in a safe environment. We usually have all the answers, but when we are in the maze we just can’t see the way out. That’s where the magic of Hypnotherapy lies; we can see your maze from above.

It's worth remembering that part of our job as Hypnotherapists, is to put you at ease, that's what we are trained at. It's our job to learn how and when to give you the space or the prompting you need to get what it is you want.
When you are ready, If you are looking for a Hypnotherapist, find one you like to talk to- it makes things sooooo much easier!

The Teenager.
Teenagers are my favourite people, beautiful young adults with untapped potential.

In this day and age, teenagers suffer greatly with the loaded expectation that they have to be good at Everything in school, not only that, but great at after school classes, all extra curricular activity, have strong friendship groups and be attractive for social media....They just have far too many pressures. (I don't know about you, but if you were talented in one subject at school that was great! (in my day)).

Teens have heaps of external life pressures as well as managing hormones, it is hardly a surprise when even the sanest of kids needs a bit of help. Therapy should be as much about fun and laughter as much as new growth and understanding.
Hypnotherapy is a great way of calming teens, or helping them to stop their addictive cycle before it really takes grip.

The man.
Sometimes there can be a struggle for men to visit a Therapist, as mental stresses and anxieties are seen as ‘unmanly’ as well as worrying that the therapist may be all "Therapy like". Tracey is a straight talking therapist and works in a dynamic way, so if you would prefer therapy that is a far cry from "wishy washy" and want to get things sorted.
Feel free to get in touch and see if she can help.

The woman.
Women are complicated, mostly. (I know, I am one). Top tip: Sometimes we can respond really well to hypnosis and other times, we cannot even begin to think about change. As a woman it can be really important to be aware of our cycles and have an idea of when our best time for change is- especially if we do suffer with PMT or Menopause issues, the best time (in my experience) to begin Hypnotherapy is at the start of your cycle, so if you do suffer with hormones, the work has already begun by the time you hit the PMT stuff.

Narcissistic abuse.

Are you dealing with being in or the fall out of a Narcissistic relationship? Whether with a loved one, a work boss or family member this can be pretty hard going on the psyche, and quite often you can find yourself asking, 'Am I going mad?' 'Am I the only one who sees this?' You may even find yourself questioning, 'Am I the Narcissistic one?' Chances are you aren't, and those chances are huge, but the fall out of being in a Narcissistic relationship can lead to ironically questioning exactly that.

Feel free to call and find out what Tracey can do to help you build confidence and take your life back.

Perhaps you have a particular interest in healing after a relationship break up, or are prone to finding yourself in relationships that are not what you want or expected, maybe only Ben & Jerry are helpful at the moment and you want to break free of that make up break up cycle.
You could be surprised at how Hypnotherapy can help you give you back your confidence and your desire to explore life again.

Kind, simple, successful therapy.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.

In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.

A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

National Council for Hypnotherapy

The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.

There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.

The General Hypnotherapy Register

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

A couple of testimonials....

"I went to see Tracey for a couple of sessions before undertaking IVF treatment abroad.  Years of treatment had left me with anxiety, self doubt and resentment that needed addressing before embarking on my next round of treatment.  Tracey was a wonderful listener and advisor, she allowed me to talk freely how I felt about all aspects of my life and taught me how to look at things differently in a more constructive and positive manner.  After the sessions with Tracey I felt relieved and rejuvenated - had bundles of confidence and am now sat here writing this with my 2 month old daughter on my lap, and couldn’t be happier.  Thank you Tracey, I owe you so much, I could never have got here without you."

"Tracey Grist changed my life and I can't thank her enough. I found her by chance (thank you google) when I needed to understand and heal some fundamental issues that were holding me back in life.
After one session I felt inspired and empowered. A few more under my belt and my relationships with others changed, and perhaps more importantly, my relationship with myself changed.

Next she was on hand to guide me through a horrible break up ...and as if that wasn't enough, she then helped me to discover what I really want to do with my life- I found my missing jigsaw puzzle piece.

I recommend Tracey to everyone I know with absolute confidence that she will help them too. She's warm, compassion ate and humble, she gets to the heart of the matter and she always goes the extra mile.

Tracey is a truly kick arse therapist and a truly wonderful human."

"Wonderful, warm, empathetic, caring, wise and fun person. Brilliant and super-effective therapist. After session with Tracey the difficult truly becomes easy!"

"Before I met Tracey I was confused, anxious, frustrated with my relationship status and without a vision for my future life. A few months later I can happily say that Tracey has been instrumental in engineering a breakthrough in my life. She helped me to reinvent myself, regain balance and passion for life again. Several hypnotherapy sessions with Tracey took me to a completely new level. Tracey is a true specialist and a real pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend her whether you are old or new to hypnotherapy as she proves it can be very powerful and life changing."
