About me

Does this sound like you?

  • You struggle with relationships – at work or out of work. Especially when you have to speak to people in authority or well-qualified clients or managers.
  • Low self-confidence and anxiety are holding you back.
Perhaps you find speaking in front of groups a real challenge.
  • When you’re asked to give a presentation or go on camera, you suffer those unwanted feelings: your hands are shaking, you can’t stop your voice croaking when you start talking and your heartbeat is racing so much you feel someone is going to notice.
  • Perhaps your relationships are making you fed-up, you are lacking self-belief, especially when speaking to people in authority.
  • You believe that nobody else seems to have these problems and that only makes the situation worse.
  • In fact, others around you seem to get along fine, but you don’t.
You might even find yourself avoiding situations like volunteering to work on a project at work.
  • You have thoughts about taking time off work, sick, just to avoid situations. Even in your personal life, you notice you just don’t enjoy hobbies or interests like you should.

Then you feel guilty and ashamed.
That’s unfair and no-one should have to lead a life like this.

Instead, how would you prefer to feel like this?

You don’t struggle with sleeping like you did, you feel more in control and self-confident - even people around you notice how relaxed you look. You have fewer negative thoughts that don’t your work anymore. Your relationships are healthier.

Why now ?
There’s a good chance you might have been struggling like this for a while. So, why would you want to go on suffering when there's a positive way forward?
There’s a good chance you will see improvement sooner than you'd expect and how wonderful would that be. Enjoying meeting others, healthier relationships. A successful career that keeps you stretched

Why can Steve McCabe help?
I’m a trained, experienced Cognitive Hypnotherapist with a special interest in helping ordinary people like you and I, lead extraordionary lives. Simply by enabling you to take control of your emotions.
What motivates me is to help as many people achieve justice or fairness in their lives. There’s too much injustice in the world.
Some people fear that having hypnotherapy means having to re-live painful memories. That’s not the case. We work together by having a conversation, changing the meaning of how your thoughts impact on your life.

Please contact me for a no-obligation,  30 minute discovery call to decide if we're right for each other as therapist and client and let's have you living that fulfilled, happier life you deserve.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Giving presentations can be stressful for most people. Often because we feel judged by those around us or we don't feel good enough to do the job we do. Imposter syndrome is a term used to describe these feelings.

Sometimes, we don't feel we are good enough and this can cause symptoms of anxiety which only make your confidence worse.

I continue to help ordinary people lead extraordinary lives by addressing your worst critic - the one inside your head.
