About me
Hi, I'm Sam.
I'm a certified and experienced Hypnotherapist and Life Coach. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
What do I do?
Having received many forms of therapy for numerous ‘challenges’ I experienced during my life (like us all), I decided it was time for me to provide the therapy. I’d spent many years in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer but desired a change, and so I trained as a Hypnotherapist several years ago and that’s how the journey began. A few years later I became a mature university student at the age of 39, immersing myself in the subject of psychology - the study of the human mind. That extra ‘deep-dive’ into the workings of the mind - the thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that make us human - gives me an edge in the hypnotherapy world. Using what I learned, I help clients discover why they may be struggling with certain aspects of living, provide them with extra ‘tools’ if necessary, and observe them grow in a safe, supportive, empathetic, non-judgemental environment.
Put very simply...
I help people discover their inner courage, strength, resilience, wisdom, and innate ability to deal with anything life throws at them.
That’s my mission, my goal - to help people take charge of their emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. Using skills I’ve learned through life experience, 13 years of meditation practice, Personal Training, Life Coaching, Hypnotherapy, and a psychology degree; I help people reconnect with their innate ability to take life by the horns and start thriving instead of just surviving. We all have that ability. We're born with it. Unfortunately, along the journey of life, many people lose their connection with that innate ability (as I did). I will help you rediscover, and reconnect with it.
If you're struggling in any way, with any sort of ‘challenge’, contact me today and let's get you on the road to freedom!

Member organisations

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
info Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
Although I have the knowledge and capability to deal with all sorts of issues, I really enjoy helping people change undesired behaviours such as unhealthy relationships with alcohol and other drugs. However insignificant, or extreme, you define your problem to be - there’s no judgement here. Whether you want to stop completely, or simply reduce your intake, I can help you make a plan and reach your goal. This will be achieved by talking about the issue/s, and through hypnotherapy.
I do also love to help people overcome phobias of any kind, whether it be a fear of spiders, dogs, flying, or public speaking; I can help you overcome that fear.
