Meera Mehat - Behaviour change and Emotional Well Being Specialist
My name is Meera Mehat and I'm a behavioural change and emotional well-being specialist with 30 years’ experience in change work.
I have had the privilege to train with the best in their fields both Paul Mckenna, a forerunner in the field of hypnosis and hypnotherapy and John Grinder and Dr Richard Bandler - the creators of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming).
I help clients to establish all sorts of behavioural change including things like:
- stopping smoking
- managing anxiety and stress
- losing weight
- improving personal and professional performance while continually improving emotional well-being.
My journey has seen me change the lives of many people with great success and to date, I have had major successes with addiction therapy including food addictions and cravings as well as smoking.
How can I help you?
I support my clients by offering a 3 in 1 approach to change. Using a mixture of hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching techniques, I create a unique solution-focused behavioural change program based on your requirements that get you the results you want. I am committed to helping you achieve those positive outcomes and enable you to have life-changing behaviours.
Why choose hypnotherapy?
Everyone wants to be the best they can be but sometimes our negative inner chatter can get in the way or our emotions get the better of us, preventing us from being able to move forward with our lives, and hampering our relationships and performance.
There are times, the behaviour we don’t want becomes so ingrained that it is impossible to see how to change it. Bad habits form or self-sabotage becomes a way of life. My approach is simple but has proven to be effective. The first step is to listen very carefully to your needs, and through careful questioning gain a true understanding of where you are and where you want to be.
What happens during a hypnotherapy session?
The next part is where the therapy comes in and this is uniquely tailored to your specific needs. No two sessions are ever the same and no two people are ever treated alike, even though they may come to me presenting the same problem. This is because we all have different triggers and needs, and everyone’s experiences are different. I recognise these differences and work with you to bring about the change required.
What will I need to do when the sessions finish?
The third part is what you do yourself. This is where you really need to appreciate that the therapy is not a magic wand that can eradicate things overnight; changing behaviours takes time to override the old patterns, and it is important that you follow the programme designed for you in our sessions.
You are the most important part of your change process and I work with you 100% to get you to where you want to be.
I care passionately about the work I do, the people I work with get results. Contact me. You may find that it's the best thing you ever did.

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

Your well being is the core of what I do and it is important, before you decide to work with me that you are comfortable with what I can offer, and we are a good fit to work together. I offer a free consultation to help you decide if this is for you.
I went to see Meera a few weeks ago as I had an important interview coming up and was concerned that nerves and anxiety would get in the way of me being able to perform at my best. I arrived at the session feeling a bit unsure of what to expect but Meera immediately made me feel comfortable with her warm manner and welcoming smile. The environment was calm and relaxing which meant the focus could be on the treatment and getting the most out of the consultation. The first part was designed to get to the route of the issue and Meera very quickly captured the essence of what was needed to help me overcome my concerns. We then moved to the hypnotherapy section which was very soothing and conducted in a very professional experienced way. I would recommend Meera to anyone seeking this kind of therapy as she was wonderful and I got the job !!.

Thank you for all you have done for me you have helped me so much , I originally came to you to stop smoking and during my induction with you it was noticed by yourself there was a problem underlying , you advised me this was to be addressed before we worked on the smoking issue , I agreed and since our session to combat this I have overcome this problem . We moved to the original smoking issue and you have once again succeeded in addressing my issue. You are a genuinely sincere person I am amazed at how much you have changed my life thank you so much.

Meera came into my life just at the right time when I needed to talk to someone about few problems I had, after seeing her the first time I was so relaxed and had most amazing sleep that night after a long time. After several sessions, I managed to see everything differently and that triggered a lot of positivity in my life. I started a few courses and I am heading towards a more productive life. Thank you, Meera for showing me the way!!!
