About me
Lucy is a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. She is passionate about helping her clients overcome their problems quickly and effectively. Solution focused hypnotherapy uses the very best techniques from other disciplines such as Solution Focused Brief Therapy, NLP, CBT, Mindfulness, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and brain based therapy and of course powerful but safe hypnosis. The treatment focuses the client on moving forward with their lives in a positive way. It is effective for confidence, anxiety, mood changes, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, performance enhancement and achieving life goals. The relaxation techniques used and taught to clients can also be extremely helpful to alleviate physical symptoms such as pain, IBS or reduced immunity.
Lucy is a qualified nurse and has over 20 years experience in specialist cancer nursing. She also offers hypnotherapy and support for clients undergoing treatment for cancer and recovery after treatment. Hypnotherapy and guided imagery can boost immunity, alleviate fears and phobias associated with cancer treatment and help clients achieve optimum recovery. There are some charitable funds available for cancer patients and a reduced rate can be offered in some circumstances.

The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
