Elisabeth Holmes - Hypno-psychotherapeutic counselling
I trained as a hypnotherapist and hypno-psychotherapeutic counsellor after 25 years in education because I was so impressed with the way in which hypnotherapy can positively transform lives. With the help of hypnotherapy, I overcame an extreme phobia and learnt to deal with work-related anxiety and stress. Since then I have been determined to guide others to utilise their inner resources to create lasting change.
As your therapist, my aim is to help you regain control of your life, to be the person you want to be and find inner peace and happiness. I offer a calm, reassuring and non-judgemental environment in which to explore your vulnerabilities.
I use a wide range of hypno-therapeutic techniques starting with a person-centred and solution-focused approach treating each client as a unique individual and ensuring I always give the best possible service.
In each session, I will listen carefully in order to develop a tailor-made treatment schedule which meets your needs and finds an efficient and effective solution. I can also teach you a number of useful techniques to help you think more positively. Therapy will offer you the chance to gain insights into your limitations allowing you to move forward without being held back by your past.
My additional training as a hypno-psychotherapeutic counsellor ensures that I can help you to navigate your way through more complex psychological issues.
My therapy room provides you with a space to safely share your thoughts and express your feelings. However, I am happy to travel to you if you would prefer a home visit.
Online therapy can also be arranged if required. Get in touch to find out more about this service.
By choosing me, you are assured of a caring, empathetic therapist who you can trust to guide you through challenging times.

Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Alternatively, many clients have found online therapy to be surprisingly effective and provides a safer alternative during the Coronavirus pandemic. Online therapy makes the most of modern technology to provide continuity, no need for travel and greater flexibility and convenience. Clients can be reassured that the high quality of service is maintained throughout the process, providing an equally strong therapeutic relationship as with face-to-face therapy.
Stress Management for Schools
I also provide training for schools in stress management techniques and resilience as well as providing one to one therapy for school staff at competitive rates.
"Brilliant training - I would definitely recommend it to others." SJ, Manchester
"We take the wellbeing of our staff seriously and are proactive in supporting them. We have now used Elisabeth's services on a number of occasions. The feedback is always very positive and she makes such a difference that other staff comment on the evident changes. I would highly recommend her." MJ, Preston
