About me

I use Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy to help my clients achieve their goals. We all have different things we want to achieve and using cognitive tools coupled with hypnosis my clients can achieve their goals quicker than if they use CBT alone. I have experience working with both adults/children. Most of my clients are face to face but I have also given online sessions with clients (mostly abroad). I run online workshops for Cognitive Behaviour, this allows people to explore and understand what CBH is and if they think it might work for them.

I have worked with many children and I especially enjoy working with them on building their confidence. A lot of children are now being put into categories and given labels, I don't work with labels as I feel its not beneficial to have someone believe there is something wrong with them, therefore I explore what happened to them and we unpick and work around what is the cause of the issue and what they would like to achieve going forward. This is true for both children and adults. Understanding their experiences are what create their thought patterns and that these can be changed is life changing for my clients.

I have worked with many client issues,

  • Anxiety,
  • Panic attacks,
  • Insomnia,
  • IBS,
  • Tourettes,
  • Menopause symptoms,
  • Addictions and symptoms caused by addiction.

Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

I have experience with food and therapy and have brought the two together. I work with a local charity and I use food and cognitive tools to help the children with their confidence. This has been an extremely successful program, the children are in complete control which helps them build confidence, it also encourages them to eat, taste and make their own healthy snacks. All too often in life we use food as a coping mechanism when we have experienced some kind of trauma, this can develop into a negative relationship with food. This is why I encouraged the children to enjoy food, try new things and do it in groups as it's inclusive and helps them participate with others.

Further information

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist, I work with adults and children.  With my adult clients we work together using Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy. This is a goal focused therapy and we work together to help them achieve their goals and maintain these after our sessions have finished.  I teach relapse prevention but I am here should my clients need reassurance. My clients will develop the tools they need to continue to maintain their goals.

Working with children is different to working with adults, therefore, understanding the differences is key to achieving results. Building a trust relationship is developed by using different cognitive tools. I work with a local charity offering healthy eating workshops, this encourages children to try new things and also helps with their confidence in challenging themselves to get involved.

I decided to become a therapist as I genuinely love helping people. When my clients achieve their goals, it is the most rewarding experience both for them and myself. When I see this time after time, I know I am doing the right thing. Working together to help clients achieve their desired outcome is amazing!

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Hypnotherapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Hypnotherapist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

One of the clinics I have access to does have wheelchair access, if this is required I would appreciate advanced warning as this surgery will have to be pre-booked.
