About me

What is Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a safe, powerful psychotherapeutic tool which can be used to break the negative cycle of depression and anxiety. It can help with addictions, anger, blood pressure, weight control, lack of confidence, insomnia, IBS, relationship/marital difficulties, migraines, nail biting, nightmares, obsessions, panic attacks, fears, phobias, stress and many more.

Hypnotherapy uses the application of hypnotic techniques to bring about therapeutic change and is a very pleasant and relaxing experience.

I'm a fully qualified Hypnotherapy practitioner with a diploma from the Clifton practice in Bristol and run a small and cosy clinic in York,  15 minutes walk along the river,  away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Priding myself on always creating a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, bringing inner calm and peace with each therapeutic session.

Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH)

The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

How much do your sessions cost?

The first session is the Initial consultation which is a 30 minute session at a cost of £30. This is where I collect all the information I need to create a personalised treatment plan, and where we explore neuroscience to help you understand your mind in more detail. Each subsequent session thereafter will be 60 minutes long at a cost of £60 and include 30 minutes talking therapy and 30 minutes hypnosis.

Further information

Who am I?

Being a very family orientated person and working from home has meant I have more time to spend with my beautiful son and partner, walking our dog into any amazing forest we come by. Nature is a very important part of my life and I feel it can have a very important and positive impact on our mental health and the way in which we live our lives.

I thoroughly enjoy helping, encouraging and supporting people from all walks of life, to get them to where they want to be, and feel privileged and rewarded in making these positive changes.
