I am Angela Brown Hypnotherapist and I came originally from Greece. I will bring 39 years of experience to help you resolve your problems .
Are you capable but lacking in confidence?. Do you have low self esteem , a distorted body image, or a bad habit that you would like to break? Are you really brave but frightened of a little spider? Hypnotherapy can help.
When a client comes to see me they have an initial consultation to explain about hypnotherapy and what I do and to talk about their problem or problems. The consultation lasts about one hour and is at a reduced price. For the treatment the client comes once a week for an hour or so and when better once a fortnight etc. I am an eclectic therapist. I use hypnosis for ego strengthening and as a diagnostic tool. I use regression to pinpoint the root causes of the problems. I also use NLP, Psycho-imagination and dream Therapy, etc. I believe in treating the underlying causes of the problems instead of only the symptoms, in order to prevent recurrence or substitution to something else.
Training Qualifications and experience
I trained at "The Blythe college of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy". I am an accredited member of "The National Council of Hypnotherapists" and I am a full member of "The Hypnotherapy Association". I am also registered with "The Complimentary and National Health Care Council".
What some of my clients have said:
"My nightmare has stopped. I have not had one after all these years.
I did not think it would be possible. My weight is stable after a loss of
21lbs. This is a sincere thanks to you. I am so happy. You are very
professional and kind lady. I wish you well." M.P.
"Dear Angela, Thank you so much for your help. Your self hypnosis
technique worked a treat with the several hospital visits that I've had
to make recently. I felt no anxiety at all, it was wonderful. You have
helped me with various problems, slimming, bereavement, and some
more trivial issues. Hypnosis for me is a good way to cope with life's
problems. I will recommend anybody and everybody to try it." P.B.
"Sessions with Angela have resolved many issues for me and I am much more relaxed and happy, more joyful, than before! Angela has a gift for seeing to the heart of the matter and making everything clear and straightforward. I am so grateful to have met her. From a happy client, in Culham Oxfordshire."
Training, qualifications & experience
In my previous working life amongst other jobs, I was a civil servant for fifteen years, and during this period of my life, I also became qualified in Beauty Therapy. Due to unforseen circumstances, I had to give up my civil service job and look for work that I could practise from home. That is when my study in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy started.
Over the years, I have met a number of clients who would have loved to rewrite their history, not making and often repeating the mistakes of the past. I have seen them as, the capable ones suffering from a lack of confidence, the attractive ones with a poor self-image, the anorexic ones with a distorted body image. Of course, there have been clients whose problems were just bad habits needing a little help.
I have found my work as a hypnotherapist / psychotherapist has been the most fulfilling career that I could have ever wished for. I hope that I can help you. At least I will try my very best.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.
There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
