Why choose me to be your hypnotherapist?

I am genuinely passionate about hypnotherapy and I believe that anything is possible, the only limitations in life are the limitations we put on ourselves. I genuinely believe that hypnotherapy can help to change people's lives for the better. I discovered that thinking in a different way could reduce pain, enhance day-to-day living and help clients in a relatively quick way, whilst sustaining incredible results and a positive change of direction. Hypnotherapy can help in ways that I'd not even realised possible. I am a positive and enthusiastic person genuinely passionate about what I do. This rubs off on my clients, allowing them to leave my sessions feeling positive, empowered, relaxed and optimistic about their future.

The tools that I use…

I use Cognitive Hypnotherapy, NLP with counselling amongst other approaches. With over 20 years of experience, I am able to select the best tools from many different approaches and models of therapy, so that my sessions are tailored to fit you, the individual. This ensures the sessions help reduce your stress and overcome the challenges that you're facing.

What should I expect from our first session?

The initial consultation and assessment session is important to decide what is best for you.  During this session I will ask questions to understand a bit about your history and to better understand the challenges you are facing.  This will give you a clear understanding on how we change our thoughts, feelings, habits and behaviours.  We will discuss your goals and desired outcomes from this therapy and put together a plan on how we can achieve them.

Drug and Alcohol treatment based on the 12 steps, including CBT. I also ran an Eating Disorder group using CBT, some elements of the 12 step and an elective approach towards therapy.

I worked to help patients gain control of their addiction(s) on the Addiction Treatment Programme. Addiction is often a cluster of addictions. For example alcohol, exercise and bulimia are often habits that go together. I work to help clients manage their compulsions and respond in a better way. I also worked within the Eating Disorder unit, looking at control, control around food and sense of self worth. Supporting patients to achieve their goals in a healthy, proactive way. I also ran groups within the general psychiatric unit on depression and anxiety, also assertiveness training. I remain incredibly passionate about supporting my clients to move forward making their own choice and changes a reality. Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Our brains sometimes get confused and come up with all kinds of situations that trigger an exaggerated or inappropriate response. Hypnotherapy can help hugely with this and get you back on track, living a healthy and fulfilling life.

Further information

What clients are saying about me.

"I can't recommend Trina for hypnotherapy highly enough. I had suffered with a bird phobia for about 35 years and had considered hypnotherapy before but firstly didn't believe it could work as my phobia was so 'severe' and secondly had heard that with some hypnotherapists I would have to look at pictures of birds to overcome my fear. Thankfully this was not the case with Trina. With her calm, gentle, understanding nature I was soon at ease. I can now look at real birds and photos of birds without screaming or feeling sick, she really has improved my quality of life."

"I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU for everything!  I’m so indebted to you and your wondrous hypnotherapy skills.  I honestly feel like a different person and approach my life more positively and with confidence.  I don’t have need for my OCD tendencies anymore and my motivation skills have improved hugely."

After experiencing a really personal sexual issue which is often described as vaginismus, and spending a lot of time online looking for help, being told by doctors it was just in my head, and counselling failing to assist, hypnotherapy was my last hope. I was feeling desperate and depressed. It was affecting me emotionally which impacted on my relationships I immediately felt at ease & relaxed at the first session, and felt confident she could help me. After around 5 sessions my confidence & self esteem was coming back & after the last but one session I had successful sex! Now a few months on, my confidence is growing and things are improving all the time, including my relationship. I can't explain how much she's helped me, and how lovely she was throughout the process (as you can imagine this sort of issue isn't the easiest to talk about). I would recommend her to anyone who is suffering from fears or phobias, especially this one as there aren't many options for people experiencing it. It will be the best money you ever spend! One very happy customer.

"Trina Gazzard.  What can I say? You took me from the place I was in which was crying like a baby all through a flight or taking medication, to sitting by the window, watching take-off and landing, taking photos of Mount Tiede out of the window and loving it, without medication.  AMAZING!! Thank you so much."

"I have been seeing Trina for issues around anxiety.  I had problems going to the shops, concerts, family events and other similar things where I would have panic attacks.  Right from the start Trina began to change the way I think… I recently attended my daughter’s concert, I realised half way through that I’d not had my usual panic attack.   I was there relaxed enjoying myself without feeling nervous.  This was a huge stepping-stone for me and led to even bigger things such as going away for a few days with friends, without the safety blanket of my husband.  This was all due to the way Trina had prepared me.  None of this would have been possible before my sessions with Trina."
