I am an experienced Clinical Hypnotherapist working in Farnham, Surrey, and I practise Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.
This therapy is a modern combination of Psychotherapy and Hypnosis that can help to deal with a range of problems easily and effectively.
We will focus on what you want to achieve, and we will not look at the past or the problem, but concentrate om moving you forward to your preferred future.
Hypnosis is an important part of the therapy, and you will experience a light, relaxing trance, such as we all do every day naturally - when we are driving, watching TV, or running. You will always be in control and aware of what you are doing.
This form of hypnotherapy draws on techniques also used in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Some of these are very useful and can be used by the client between sessions to help them.
Hypnotherapy sessions can be experienced very successfully online with Zoom, for clients who cannot come to my home. In the present climate with Covid 19. this is very useful as we try to maintain social distancing and Self Isolation. If you need help with this way of communicating do get in touch - it is very simple and will not involve any extra cost to you.
I am happy to say I have had much success with helping clients resolve their problems and these are some comments from two of them:
"A friend recommended that I should see Ros as I was suffering with social anxieties. Ros has a wonderful manner, caring, friendly and positive, she instantly made me feel comfortable, she is professional and non-judgemental. The sessions with her have allowed me to regain my self-confidence and life again. I now feel confident when talking to new people and can conduct myself in a more professional manner in business meetings by staying calm and in control, even the tension in my neck and back from stress has completely diminished! Ros has put the smile back on my face and I am forever grateful."
"You couldn’t meet a kinder more gentle person.
I went to see Ros as a friend had told me how much she had helped her. I have had many issues over my life – and lack of confidence comes highest on the list, closely followed by anxiety, stress and insomnia.
Ros doesn’t solve your problems for you – you don’t go back into minute detail about all your issues. She guides and teaches you to help yourself. With the aid of her lovely hypnotherapy and her relaxation CD , I’m able to sleep well. Something I haven’t been able to do for many years. Ros promotes relaxation and encourages you to concentrate on the good things rather than dwell on the not so good.
I would recommend anyone to see Ros. Her gentle encouragement and sensitive caring manner are calming in themselves.”
In our sessions we will work towards helping you achieve the goals that you set for yourself, and I will enable you to become confident and empowered to take control of your life and enjoy it.

Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The General Hypnotherapy Register
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I also offer Relaxation Sessions for those who need help to relax and unwind. These sessions are 30 minutes long and are great for helping you to experience deep relaxation for the body and mind. We need to relax regularly in order for our bodies to repair and restore, and for our minds to process our thoughts and feelings. These sessions are a great opportunity to chill out and do absolutely nothing! You will feel wonderfully relaxed afterwards!
I work from home on weekdays and evenings, in my quiet peaceful room overlooking farmland.
