About me
Can you imagine your life with no anxiety? Can you imagine a life that is not run by emotions? Can you imagine not being crippled with self doubt and negative thoughts spiralling you downwards?
I am a qualified clinical hypnotherapist, EMDR & NLP therapist and I can help you eradicate the negative emotions that sometimes threaten to overwhelm us, so that you are able to live a freer, happier, more relaxed and enjoyable life.
My approach is tailored to meet the needs of each individual client, and I take the time to understand their goals, needs, and challenges. I will work with you to identify the underlying causes of your concerns, and help you to overcome them, helping you to feel empowered and in control of your life.
Prior to becoming a hypnotherapist I was a commercial accountant for a large energy company, but suffered from stress, anxiety, burnout and a huge sense of feeling overwhelmed; so you can see that I really do understand how debilitating these feelings are. I trained as a hypnotherapist vowing that I would help people in similar circumstances to overcome their anxieties and help them feel at ease with their emotions.
As well as anxiety and trauma, I also specialise in performance improvement, whether that is to excel at sports, improve your work performance (such as overcoming anxieties around public speaking/presentations or interviews), or overcome anxieties relating to exams or driving tests. Again, I have had personal experience in all of these areas; I specialise in the areas that I can fully empathise with.
My therapy room is an extremely comfortable and relaxing space in my home, based in an idyllic and tranquil rural setting just outside Kilmarnock not far from Glasgow, overlooking open fields and farmland. This ensures you complete privacy. Alternatively, if you prefer I can offer online sessions via Zoom.

I trained with the internationally renowned John Dewar School of Hypnotherapy, based in Leamington Spa & I have diplomas in:
- EMDR
- NLP
- Clinical Hypnotherapist
- Weight Management Specialist (incl virtual gastric Band)
Member organisations
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
