About me

I’m Karen the founder of Omara Hypnotherapy. I’m a clinical solution-focused hypnotherapist. I’m also qualified in counselling and CBT. My background is in nursing, people management, training and coaching, so I naturally progressed to complementary therapy. I bring my skills together, combining all therapies, to offer a personalised programme to support my client's needs.

My purpose is to ensure that every client I see feels able to re-assert control of their lives, concentrating both on their ‘here-and-now’ as well as plans for a better tomorrow. I specialise in helping teens upwards to manage stress, anxiety, confidence issues, panic attacks, low self-esteem, weight management, phobias,  trauma, amongst others.

We often find once a client recognises what's happening to them is totally normal, then they can understand how to change it.

I am registered with three governing bodies in this field and work in person in my therapy space in Burgess Hill as well as online.

I want to empower my clients. We work with neuroscience  so I can help them to understand how the brain works. I teach them brain knowledge in each session, specific to their needs, so that they can very quickly begin to help themselves cope with their actions and feelings. I show them how to create new patterns, and new daily habits, often with life-changing results.

I offer a free 10-minute discovery call and initial consultation so that before we begin sessions my client can feel confident that we have a solid therapeutic alliance together, this allows them to achieve optimal results and thereby be happier people!

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

I often find a client comes with a particular concern then we discover the issue is being caused by something different. We work together to create a much better mind and body balance.
