About me
Therapy with a difference: A Humanistic & Psychological approach of Clinical Hypnotherapy, Life-Coaching and Advanced Integrative Therapeutic Counselling.
Integrative therapy & Hypnotherapy supporting adults for Anxiety, Work Stress & Life Transitions.
‘EMBRACE THE CHANGE…….THAT SETS YOU FREE'
Hi, my name is Julie, I offer integrative psychotherapy and hypnotherapy for adults experiencing anxiety, work stress, and life transitions.
I work particularly with high-functioning individuals who may feel overwhelmed or stuck despite appearing to cope well externally. My approach is relational and tailored, providing a steady, confidential space for the clients positive benefit as we work collaboratively and at a pace that feels manageable.
Therapy with me is not about quick fixes, but about understanding the patterns, pressures, and experiences that may be contributing to how you feel now. I aim to provide a steady, thoughtful space where you can reflect, gain clarity, and build sustainable change — not just symptoms.
I imagine if you are reading this you are needing to reach out for support or guidance in your life and need a compassionate listener who can understand how you are feeling at this moment in time. So, are you experiencing disconnection or feeling misunderstood? Maybe struggling with anxiety due to a past situation or relationship that has affected your confidence. Are you unhappy with an area in your life that you would like to change? Is there a sense of having lost your self worth?
It is important to understand our anxiety before we can manage it effectively and through a therapy process we can explore your concerns as we challenge & reframe your mindset using various modal principles and supportive strategies. My humanistic approach with Psychology helps support integrative therapy work.
I believe I can help you by working together and welcome you to see me within a private practice that has a beautiful and calming setting which provides a sanctuary for you to feel relaxed and comfortable. The emphasis is for you to experience a warm and empathetic therapy time with me, where you can share your concerns in confidence to help achieve your goal, desired outcome and new positive wellbeing.
Alternatively, if you prefer the comfort of your own home, I offer on-line therapy via zoom. My practice also provides walk-and-talk therapy sessions as an alternative to the clinic-based setting (please see my website for further information).
I work with issues relating to: Anxiety & Stress, Depression, Trauma, Human needs, Relationships & Attachments, codependency, Self Esteem & Confidence, Motivation, Aspirations & Goals, Bereavement & Loss, Emotion Regulation, Personal Growth & Development, Fears & Insecurities, Weight Management, Pain Management, Health & Well-being, Self Development, Life Changes, Career Shift, Procrastination, Negative & Limiting Self Beliefs.
A client case example : When working with anxiety clients who may present a secondary issue, such as a past situation or relationships. I would typically use initial counsel exploration & work on a mindset/identify task with CBT & resource thinking strategies. Most clients describe positive change using NLP tools such as anchoring. Hypnotherapy reframes the mind & body as relaxation & anxiety cannot co-exist.
Treatment types & What your experience will be like: We'll explore in more detail during the consultation session your present concerns, its affects and what is your desired outcome. We can then decide on appropriate treatment sessions. I believe using 3 principles of Hypnosis, NLP & CBT provides a powerful therapy to help address, challenge & reframe your thoughts, emotions & responses to regain confidence, self esteem for a positive wellbeing.
As a hypnotherapist providing life coaching and therapeutic skills, this enables me to use several therapy principles and specific types of techniques, strategies and tools. This allows flexibility and choice within the sessions that can be tailor-made to suit you and your needs, while considering the personality of the individual, your nature of concern and desired outcome. I find working as a hypnotherapist and applying positive psychology can further support the conversational work, while the value in coaching principles can help inspire you to attain your goals and aspirations.
I have always had an interest in people’s mental health and well-being and had empathy for how the complexities of feelings and thoughts can affect a person and relationships. So after going through personal experiences and adversity of my own, it was a natural pathway for me to study and have a better understanding for becoming a therapist. I gained my psychology degree and developed my professional career as an integrated hypnotherapist so I can help individuals through their difficult and challenging times. I believe personal life experience is fundamental in understanding others especially when we listen and empathise with what an individual is struggling with and experiencing. Compassion is a valuable attribute combined with the professional academic experience developed and these combined enhances the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client.
We all need a little help sometimes and currently challenging times are being experienced by many of us. Having a sanctuary to talk in confidence with a professional who can support you will allow you the time to reflect on the outcome you wish to achieve for resolving your problem or a situation. Alternatively, helping you to manage your concern differently or aiming to take positive action to change your life and well-being. I will help you with supportive interactive therapy and counsel based on integrative counselling techniques as well as the holistic value that meditation, mindfulness and hypnotherapy can bring.
I understand making that first call is not easy and can feel overwhelming, but I am here to help you.
So feel free to make contact as your call is important to me.

I offer an intro phone call followed by a 90 min Consultation Session then 60 min Therapy sessions online/ or in-person in a relaxing clinic
The client and therapist relationship is so important for the client’s successful outcome. Understanding this as we engage through a counselling process, my role is to help you feel comfortable and safe to talk about any issue and to feel valued as I listen to your concern. Therapy is not about receiving advice, it involves helping you to explore and find resolve or comfort with a problem you are struggling with. Clients are helped to make sense of their issues as they explore their thoughts and emotions regarding a problem or situation that is affecting their everyday life and mental well being. Sometimes we need to make sense of what we need to change and how it can be resolved and in doing so will allow us to change it. An understanding of your issue inside and out and how you deal with your emotions and beliefs are part of a therapy process that will help you find resolve.
Sessions involve discussion which allow you to look at your life and concerns in different ways and therapeutic techniques that provide a framework to make the changes that you need. As a Hypnotherapist, using hypnosis therapies compliments the conversational work explored in either life coaching or counsel sessions. Alternatively, my therapies can help encourage and mentor you for attaining personal growth and development as well as learning how to maintain any changes. The value in understanding these new ways to manage your mindset will be effective for continued well-being and personal growth. The aim is so you achieve a resolution for supporting your future well-being, emotional and psychological development.

I found my sessions very eye opening and it made me reflect on life differently. Thank you...Client C
Our sessions with Julie were very productive. My wife and I felt we were both able to have our different points of views heard. Also to share our suppressed feelings with the help and guide of thought provoking questions lead by Julie.
