About us
Clinical hypnosis and psychological therapeutic interventions for a wide range of mental health and well-being issues. How can we help you?
My name is Antony Scratcherd (M.Med.Sci.), a clinical hypnotherapist and psychological practitioner. I am also an experienced mountaineer and wellbeing advisor. I operate privately via my training and therapy company Deep Structure Ltd. I am a registered practitioner and a full member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (bsch.org). I have been working in private practice since 2001 whilst formerly being employed as a mental health advisor and CBT therapist for University counselling services. My practice and individualised service delivery is underpinned by salutogenic principles. These simply refer to focusing on positive well-being and mental health rather than mental illness, unhelpful behaviours and negative thinking patterns.
In the past 10 years, I have concurrently worked in higher education dedicated to supporting young people and post-graduate students with mental health difficulties. This has enabled me to develop specialist knowledge and skills in supporting these groups. My professional development over this period has included the refinement of specialised skills in brief/single-session therapy and risk management.
