About me

Is there something you have avoided dealing with again and again?

Or maybe something you wanted to achieve but you’ve not believed in yourself?

If you have answered yes to any of the above, and if you’re ready to be back in control, I can help you make the changes you want to make.

Hi, my name is Beckie, and before working with me many of my clients felt stuck. They were disheartened, they had tried many different things but found themselves back to where they started. That same hurdle getting in the way, that tiring uphill battle that just gets steeper and steeper, but it doesn’t have to be this way.

It’s hard, I get it. It can feel impossible, especially as it affects our life in many ways. It can feel like it’s become part of our identity, all-encompassing but its doesn't have to be this way. I truly believe that everyone can make the changes that they want to make.

I am a Gold Standard Therapist, which means my clients are firmly at the heart of my therapy business. I don’t use off the shelf materials; I prepare individual treatment plans and personalised sessions. By continually furthering my knowledge and skills, I make sure that I have more than enough tools in my toolbox to help you achieve your goals in the most effective way. But also, so I can give you a greater variety of techniques to continue to use after our work together has finished.

You may be asking why hypnotherapy? There was a time when I did ask the same question. I didn’t know anything about it, my only knowledge was what I saw on TV, which seemed very staged. However, when I began to understand the science behind it and how our minds worked, I knew that this was something I wanted to learn more about. It was like a light bulb moment for me, it made sense. I first encountered hypnotherapy when studying to be a counsellor, my first year consisted of hypnotherapy and I fell in love with it. I saw the changes that people could achieve, and realised that this was the therapy that I wanted to train in.

It explained why we do what we do- even sometimes when it’s not helpful such as anxiety, drugs, or comfort eating. These are things we learn, and they become habitual, but it’s our bodies way of keeping us safe. Once I was able to understand this, I was able to look at things from a different perspective and realised a lot of things we do that were originally serving a purpose, we can later begin to outgrow.  After all, we deal with things in the best way we know at the time.

It also made me realise we have a lot more control over ourselves than I originally thought the key is having an understanding on how to approach these situations.  This the beauty of hypnotherapy when compared to other therapies because it focuses on the positive solutions rather than the negativity of a problem.

So, if you are ready to take back control and deal with whatever it is you have struggled with in the past. Please get in touch. I offer both online and face to face sessions.

I look forward to helping you achieve your goal.
