About me

What I love about hypnotherapy is working with people.  Everyone is unique and brings something special to the sessions and it is inspiring and humbling to see people make changes they didn't think were possible.

What's more,  in solution focused hypnotherapy, we believe that people are hugely capable and filled with ideas, imagination and solutions but may need a little help to connect or reconnect with these.  Hypnotherapy is not a solution from the outside, but a solution from the inside, by helping people to use the astonishing power of their own minds.

Life is tough sometimes, so very tough. We all suffer and you are not alone if you are seeking help.

Please remember that:

  • You are not your emotions
  • You are not your life situation
  • You are not typecast into what is there for you right now

These are all manifestations of other things and they can change for the better.

Come and talk through and find out more as part of a free initial consultation, a relaxed conversation.

I would be delighted to meet you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy after training with CPHT in Plymouth with the acclaimed hypnotherapist and author Matthew Cahill. (cphtplymouth.co.uk).  I qualified in July 2020 and have already helped people make some incredible changes in relation to:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Low confidence, low motivation
  • Insomnia and sleep problems
  • Tummy and bladder problems
  • Stop smoking
  • Weight loss

I am a registered member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists (afsfh.com) which means I have passed an accredited training programme and have proper insurance, regular supervision and engage in continuing professional development.

I am 52 years old and bring a fair amount of life experience, joy and wonder to the sessions. I enjoy working with people.

The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
