Hypnosis is a state of focused attention and deep relaxation in which an individual becomes highly receptive to suggestions and imagery. Clinical Hypnotherapy is conducted by trained professionals, often licensed therapists or counsellors, who use hypnosis as a tool to facilitate a therapeutic change.

Trained Professionals: Clinical hypnotherapists are typically licensed mental health professionals who have received specialised training in hypnotherapy techniques. They have a deep understanding of psychology and the human mind.

It's important to note that while clinical hypnotherapy can be a valuable therapeutic tool, it should be conducted by trained and qualified professionals. If you're considering hypnotherapy as a treatment option, it's essential to consult with a licensed therapist or counsellor who specialises in this approach and who can assess whether it's suitable for your specific needs and goals. Additionally, always make sure to verify the credentials and qualifications of any hypnotherapist you choose to work with.

Further information

Clinical Hypnotherapy is known for its efficiency in discovering the root of a client's situation and helping them let it go for good. Anxiety, stress, a lack of self-esteem, and past traumas are just a few of the many issues that Clinical Hypnotherapy & NLP Wellness Coaching Therapy can help with.

Andrew utilises a combination of styles to help with your problems. Solution-focused therapy, NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness, Advanced Timeline Therapy and Counselling Skills.

Helping to discover the root of the problem and uncovering the emotional connection made by the subconscious programs within your mind.

Hypnosis is a natural state we all go into each and every day. It is simply an altered state of relaxation like when driving in a car on a familiar route to work, or staring at a TV screen but not really watching what is going on.  It is something anybody can do and feels very similar to when you just close your eyes before taking a nap.

You always have full control during hypnosis and are aware of what you are saying and doing during the session.

Hypnotherapy can help to connect to the part of the mind that runs the emotional programs, the subconscious mind. So, using anxiety as an example here;  When anxiety is present it is harder to work out on a logical conscious level why your mind is running this type of program. In a talking therapy setting and even in a lot of hypnotherapy practices, you will be asked to consciously go back and run through all the possible events that have happened in your life, which may have affected you in bringing about anxiety. But, because clinical hypnotherapy helps you access the subconscious mind, you therefore have direct access to the emotional mind running these programs. Often the mind will show you an event that has caused the anxiety from your past and will normally be an event that you would have never connected to why the anxiety is present in the here  and now. I will be using pin-point regression techniques which will allow us to find the very activating event that created the anxiety program. Please remember as a therapist we are not looking for a big event that has happened in your life. Quite often it will be a small, uneventful incident that started the whole program.  This is why hypnotherapy is quicker and more effective than talking therapies. Talking therapies do have their place in helping with Mental Health and can be the catalyst that starts the healing process.

Unfortunatly not all hypnotherapy is the same and quite often the therapist will not be using techniques to help pin-point the emotional event that created a program. They will use the power of suggestion therapy which has some effect on the mind but has been shown to only be a tempory fix. It isn't addressing the root cause and like a weed being plucked from the pavement, the roots will eventually grow back again.
