About me

Hello, I'm Amy.

I'm a hypnotherapist, NLP master practitioner and NLP coach. I offer an integrative approach drawing from a diverse range of psychotherapeutic modalities, including Gestalt, art therapy and dreamwork.

I grew up bilingual in a region called Sichuan in southwest China, known for its numbing peppercorns, pandas and misty mountains. My Chinese name, Airu, means mist-like. My therapeutic approaches are informed by elements of Taoism and Buddhism origin, such as mindfulness, muscular and energetic balance, and harmony with nature. These ancient wisdoms are particularly helpful for easing the feeling of stress and anxiety in modern life.

Typically, my clients experience a renewed sense of calm, confidence and self-compassion. If you are looking to gradually restore your self-energy so that you can have a restful sleep, creativity at work and groundedness in daily communication, I am here for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I received my primary training and certification (Postgraduate Level) at the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (UKCP). I'm a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy, Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council and National Society of Talking Therapies. I'm also a Master Practitioner of NLP and a member of the Association for NLP.

With a decade's experience in the marketing industry in London, my approach carries a blend of Eastern wisdom and Western pragmatism. I am also mindful of socio-linguistic and cultural sensitivity and can work with native and non-native English speakers.
