Personal, confidential and friendly approach providing a wide range of hypnotherapeutic (incliuding EMDR) & Reiki services and having a particular interest in male psychosexual problems, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, pornography addiction etc. Nigel works from a self contained therapy room at his home in South Leeds.
Leeds Hypnotherapy Academy also offers very affordable training programmes in small groups of 6-8 learners. Hypnotherapy Practitioner training is accredited and compliant with the National Occupational Standards. We also offer EMDR and Eastern Reiki training to Master Teacher level.

Training, qualifications & experience
Nigel is a graduate of Leeds and Huddersfield Universities with an MSC & PGDip in Education and has over 40 years clinical healthcare experience as a registered nurse and educator. He has the Certificate and Diploma from the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy, is a Full Member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis, is a Senior and Advanced Practitioner with the General Hypnotherapy Register and is registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council. Nigel is also an EMDR & Reiki practitioner holding current enhanced BDS (CRB) certificates and full insurance indemnity.
Nigel is accredited to teach Clinical Hypnotherapy (and has done since 2016) with the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council and is compliant with the National Occupational Standards for this programme. Nigel is and EMDR practitioner a Master Teacher of Eastern Reiki.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) is a national professional body whose aim is to promote and assure high standards in the practice of hypnotherapy. There are various types of membership of BSCH, including associate members, full members, diplomats and fellows. Registration demands good quality training, ethical practice and adherence to a code of conduct.
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level. All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
