About me
I am Wendy Riley New Beginnings Hypnotherapy. I am a Registered General Nurse and a Registered Mental Health Nurse. I have been nursing for over 27 years. I am also an alcohol counsellor and have been doing this as volunteer for over 14 years.
It is my love of supporting and empowering people to make change in their lives that led me to becoming a fully qualified hypnotherapist.
I provide an empathic, non judgemental approach, which allows the client to feel comfortable and at ease.
I have a particular interest in anxiety and also in physical, emotional, sexual abuse, which can cause people to "self medicate" either through eating, drugs, alcohol, gambling etc.
On our first session client's will be taught Self-hypnosis or self relaxation and breathing techniques and given a CD to help them relax. I will also record our hypnotherapy session so that you can listen to this again to empower you to make the changes that you wish. This in turn will help you deal with stressors in your day to day life.

Further information
I feel that confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, Self-belief and self- love are the areas that require nurturing thus empowering an individual to make change happen regardless of what their problem is. Changing those self-limiting beliefs with new positive beliefs allows a new way of thinking thus changing unwanted behaviour.
