About me

My name is Stephanie Betschart and I can work in partnership with you to define your vision of your authentic self.

Together we’ll find the right balance of building resilience and facilitating change to find your potential in an embodied way.

"I've been feeling so much better since I started seeing you. It really feels like you managed to work wonders on my emotional well being. When I started the therapy I felt so helpless and sad and now I'm feeling strong and capable of achieving things again. And I would like to thank you very, very much for saving me from this misery. I will really miss our sessions. Thank you very much once again for everything you've done for me". Amanda, Bristol

Are you seeking to overcome an unwanted behaviour, feelings of anxiety or sense of inertia? Modern clinical hypnotherapy is a highly effective approach to achieving these outcomes.

As a qualified and registered clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist, I have many years of experience in helping people with such matters. I never judge and take the time to understand what is driving your aspirations.

I have had the pleasure of working with a range of people from all walks of life and age ranges. By sharing my expertise and tools I find that even for clients who consider they have the most stubborn or sometimes hopeless issue, that there is capacity to change.

My main areas of work are:

  • Improve confidence and self-esteem
  • Reduce anxiety and stress
  • Move on from depression
  • Support with change and transitions
  • Gut directed hypnosis for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Three steps to freedom stop smoking programme

“I’ve got a new lease of life and I’m really enjoying it! If the room was bigger, I’d skip around it!” T, Bristol

Further information

My name is Stephanie Betschart, aka Padmadrishti my buddhist name.

I am a hypnotherapist, a Qigong teacher, resilience trainer and a meditator.

It is my belief that people have the resources within themselves to make the changes they wish to their lives. I believe all individuals have innate wisdom and love within themselves. My job is to help them find it or nurture it, and support them in growing into who they really are.

I am an experienced clinical and solution focused Hypnotherapist, having qualified at the Clifton practice in Bristol, a renowned centre of excellence in the field. I have practised since 2008, specialising in helping people recover from anxiety, depression, IBS. It is wonderful to develop people’s confidence and resilience, especially at critical junctures in their lives such as starting university.

I have practised Qigong from the Huagong lineage since 2010. I had the privilege to study with Zhixing Wang himself and other skilled teachers in the Huagong, Neigong and Taijiwuxigong traditions. I began teaching Qigong myself in 2017.

I am passionate about resilience and used my former experience of teaching and one-to-one work to create the Embodied Resilience course.
