Owen Lewis LLB (Hons) MA DipSW M.P.NLP M.Hyp C.NLP C.Hyp
I am a Master Hypnotherapist and Master Neuro Linguistic Programming practitioner. I enjoy and hold a passion for supporting individuals to find their happiness and freedom.
During my earlier career I started from a base of gaining a law degree and extending to a Masters in European Studies before undertaking work in Brussels. I later retrained to become a Social Worker, working for over ten years in children and families social work. However growing difficulties of low mood intervened to sabotage my health and my way of being within the work place and beyond. This led to me losing my job.
As I found my way back from a dark place I have learnt a lot about our minds. I now know that people that I offer service to can find reassurance that I have clearly modelled transformation and can add to this deep knowledge to help find their own transformations and freedom.

I charge a standard rate of £60 for an hourly session.
I understand that sometimes this is not affordable for all pockets and as I like to support a wide variety of individuals with the process of change I do also offer reduced rates for those on lower incomes and struggling to pay.
Whilst hypnotherapy is generally a quick and successful process there will be times that we need to work together for longer periods. When this is the case I usually agree discounted arrangements.
What can I expect when I book an appointment with you?
At our first appointment we begin by getting to know what you would like to achieve from hypnotherapy and gather information about your current situation. I will begin to introduce you to a style of trance that I assess to be appropriate to you. During this appointment you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have of me. I will indicate what I think will be required and if you choose to go ahead we will make a plan together.
How frequently will my appointments take place?
There is no set requirement on this. Weekly, fortnightly as appropriate.
Where will my appointment take place?
I use office accommodation within Sheffield city centre for my sessions. There is parking close by and good public transport.
Can you visit me at home?
Yes, in exceptional circumstances and where there is a strong preference. I will need some discussion about the space that this will take place in beforehand.
Can I bring someone along for support?
I rather that it is just you and me present in the room as I believe it prevents any distractions and can allow open discussion, no matter how well the other person might know you. I do appreciate that there are a number of circumstances in which it is helpful to at least be accompanied by someone into the room and I am always flexible.
What does trance / hypnotherapy feel like?
Trance is a natural phenomena and a subjective experience felt differently by everyone. A feeling of deep relaxation where you have let the cares and worries of your day go. A feeling of a warm glow inside with maybe a focus on part of your body or wellbeing. It is common for people to state that I can't have been hypnotised because I wasn't unconscious or I can remember what happened. When people begin to forget about their ideas of what hypnotherapy should be and begin to enjoy trance they are normally eager to experience the induction again and again.
Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm Appointments may frequently be able to be made outside these times upon arrangement to suit individual circumstances.
