About me

Hello I’m Morag…
My Solution focused hypnotherapy service is based in Somerset.
I work in-person at my clinic, which is set in the beautiful Blackdownhills, and  I have online clients too.  I work with both adults and children.

I completed my training as a clinical hypnotherapist at the renowned Clifton Practice in Bristol, in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, and gained my diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy from there.  I also gained my Pactitioners Diploma from the National Council for Hypnotherapy, known as the gold standard in hypnotherapy training.

I have an honours degree in psychology and have decades of experience helping people to improve their lives,  having managed a number of mental health and addiction projects,  residential care projects for homeless persons, as well as teaching roles in various different countries around the world.

On a personal level I have experienced serious injuries and spinal surgery following road traffic accidents and ongoing chronic pain.   I also experienced ovarian cancer and the surgeries, chemotherapy and loss that comes with that.

I believe life brings us many hurdles and challenges, but we do have a choice in how we will deal with those to ensure we get the very best out of our lives...

Solution Focused hypnotherapy has helped me in so many ways and seeing the positive changes my clients make in such a short time is testament to its success.

Please feel free to contact me for an informal chat…

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

AfSFH
Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH)

The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
