About me

I am a multi-award-winning Mind Coach and Hypnotherapist, and can help you create rapid and positive change in the way you think, feel and behave. I can help you to take back control if you struggle with anxiety, fears or phobias, low motivation or self-confidence, eating/drinking habits, or if you'd like to stop smoking/Vaping, to name a few...

Did you know that more than 95% of your brain's activity is subconscious? So less than 5% is logical, rational, conscious thinking.

Your subconscious is like a hard drive that has been programmed by your past experiences and learning. So you respond with these subconscious patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. This happens outside of your cognitive control.

I work directly with the subconscious mind, where these patterns are held. I can help you take back control and align your subconscious patterns with what you want to change on a conscious level.

My approaches:

The Control System is a way of accessing the subconscious mind without the use of hypnosis (trance). In this way, we can create rapid and positive change in the way you think, feel and respond. We will remove any barriers and limiting beliefs, putting you back in control to create the change that you want.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) is a combination of psychotherapy and hypnosis. Utilising a powerful combination of modern therapies (CBT, NLP, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy), SFH will help you make significant change within a relatively short period of time.

You will learn some of the science behind how your brain works, and how you can help your brain to work better for you in what you want to achieve. It is a collaborative approach, which will guide you to access your own inner resources and capabilities, helping you to feel empowered, calm, positive, and in control.

What to expect from the FREE one-hour Initial Consultation:

This is an opportunity for us to meet and discuss what you would like to achieve. I will explain how your brain works in relation to why you have come to see me, and how I will be able to help you. It is a chance for you ask any questions, so that you feel comfortable and informed about the process, and confident that you are choosing the right therapist for you.

Testimonials

Larissa has been a lifesaver for me! I can't believe the difference she's made. She's doesn't follow a one-size-fits-all approach. She listens to how I'm feeling and adapts her approach to what works best for me, trying new techniques to see how I would respond. She explains things in a way that makes sense, helping me understand what we're trying to achieve during our sessions. Thanks to her help, I've made so much progress and feel in control again. I feel lucky to have found her and wouldn't hesitate to go back if I need to in the future.

Adam, Brighton

Larissa is a kind, professional, and understanding therapist. She was an excellent listener, and created a strong feeling of a safe space in which to experience the therapies I tried.

I won't even start to claim that I know how hypnotherapy works, despite her understandable and plain language explanations. However, her explanations put me at ease, and gave me a great sense of confidence in the process.

But I would say that with her expertise and guidance, I certainly feel as though I've made leaps and bounds over the previous therapies that I've experienced. Should I need further help, I would have no concern reaching out to Larissa for more sessions.

Stephen, Brighton

I went to see Larissa for help to quit smoking and vaping. The time I spent with her was extraordinary. I didn’t know what to expect, but she made me feel comfortable from the very beginning and her kindness and empathy helped me see my problem in a different light, with compassion and confidence. It’s been 2 weeks since our session and I have stopped smoking and vaping all together for the first time in 25 years! Her help meant the world to me and I wouldn’t hesitate in reaching out to her if you are struggling, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Maxine, Brighton

I came to Larissa with some issues I needed to shift and within 3 sessions I felt completely different. It is a lovely, gentle approach and her understanding of the brain and changing patterns of behaviour that are no longer serving us, is really inspiring. Thank you Larissa

Laura, Brighton

I can echo what other people have said, having hypnotherapy remedied underlying issues I didn't even really consider! The specific issue I originally wanted to tackle (phobia/OCD type issue) looks like it's going to take a bit more work, and so 6 sessions was not quite enough, BUT I also suffer from long-term depression and a generally very negative mindset. I hadn't really intended to tackle this, but even within just a couple of sessions, I started feeling unusually positive, motivated, and calm. This alone made it absolutely worth doing, this is life-changing. I understand that a positive mindset is a major step towards overall recovery, so I will continue my journey with Seascape to tidy up the rest. Larissa is patient and kind, I always felt valued. Thanks so much.

Emily, Brighton

Larissa helped me overcome a vasovagal response, which is the snazzy way of saying I faint when I have a blood test. After just a few sessions my next blood test was exactly what I wanted: a non-event. No fainting, sickness, wooziness or drama. I walked in and out like a normal person, job done. Hurrah! Thank you so much Larissa, it was a really lovely experience working with you.

Clare, Surrey

My 13 year old daughter suffers with extreme anxiety . Her main issue was eating food at home or while out. Larissa was very informative about the sessions and very easy to talk to. Made my daughter and myself very comfortable about the whole experience. My daughter has tried lots of different types of therapy and out of all of them hypnotherapy with Larissa was the one she was happy to attend every week . My daughter now eats at home and has started to eat out again. It’s wonderful to see my baby girl being herself again.

Michelle, Brighton

I had the most amazing experience with Seascape, and helped me reset for the end of the year. The process has helped me understand so much more about my thinking and approach to situations. It also gave me time to myself which I had forgotten to prioritise. Amazing experience and would highly recommend.

Sam, London

I started Hypnotherapy as I had had previous experience of successful Hypnotherapy for a Phobia. This is Solution Based Hypnotherapy and I can honestly say it has been amazing. The original reason for starting has been addressed as well as so much more. I feel so different; happier, more confident and positive. If anyone is thinking of having Hypnotherapy my advice is DO IT! Larissa explains the process clearly and I felt safe and confident with her.

Caroline, Brighton

I started hypnotherapy with Larissa to help with my depression which had worsened over lockdown and in response to family issues. Larissa put me at ease very quickly and was brilliant at explaining the brain and its functions to me. I started the first session feeling really low and with little enjoyment of things in my life. By the end of the course I felt so much better, happier, enjoying things more and able to be so much more positive about everything, even during challenges. I honestly didn’t think it would make as much difference as it did and would recommend anyone who is struggling to give it a go. Hypnotherapy for me was a powerful experience and I am so grateful for the way it has enhanced my mood and life.

Claire, Hassocks

Hypnotherapy has been a wonderful experience, and has helped me get through so many things which I could never have done before. Larissa has given me a whole new perspective on my thought and worries which I will keep for life. I feel so much more confident which has made me feel a lot happier in everyday life.

Ben, age 14

I've had a life long experience of over stimulation from my senses. This has caused immense stress & frequent feelings of being overwhelmed. I'd developed many coping strategies, some practical, some not. I was recommended hypnotherapy with Larissa & it's been an incredibly positive experience.

I'm unable to visualise, so I initially thought hypnotherapy might not work so well for me. Larissa reassured me that visualisation wasn't necessary & explained (in a way I could understand) how the therapy works. It was eye opening finding out all the different applications for hypnotherapy.

After each session I felt a real feeling of my senses calming down & in turn, my whole way of experiencing the world, calming down. Each session built on the last & even though I haven't had any sessions for months, the feeling of calming down continues improving. The improvement to my wellbeing has been so positive & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend hypnotherapy to anyone.

Rob, Rottingdean

I had little knowledge of hypnotherapy prior to my course of sessions. Larissa immediately put me at ease due to her very calm and informative approach. The sessions put me into a wonderful transient state and helped with my sleep patterns too. After my course of sessions not only did I benefit with pain relief but also it completely changed my mindset, feeling more positive and able to manage my condition.

I continue to use the recorded version and ongoing tools that Larissa provided me with to continue to help with my Long Covid and Fibromyalgia. I could not recommend Larissa’s hypnotherapy sessions enough - life changing !

Tyra, Brighton

I’ve been smoker for nearly 30 years. Smoking has been part of me in a way. Since turning 50 (last year) I have been thinking of stopping smoking but never had the courage to even try. I thought that was impossible. So when I saw Larissa’s post on a local community page about needing volunteers for hypnotherapy to stop smoking I thought I would give it a go, nothing to lose so to speak, to be honest I didn’t believe in it at all. My hypnotherapy session with Larissa and her calming and guided voice gave me a different outlook on myself. Straight after the session I thought it’s now or never and somehow I thought I don’t actually want to smoke. Now 2 months on I’m free from smoking, I feel so much healthier and free. I can’t thank Larissa enough.
