Hello, my name is Larissa and I’m a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist specialising in emotional well-being and behavioural change. I help clients to overcome a range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, lack of motivation, chronic pain management, weight management, and phobias.
The Solution Focused approach is all about finding solutions to problems rather than dwelling on the past. Using the latest research in neuroscience, it combines talking therapy (CBT, NLP, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy) with hypnosis in a powerful combination to help you make positive and significant change within a relatively short period of time. It is a collaborative approach, where you will access your own inner resources and capabilities, helping you to feel empowered, calm and in control.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy will help you to change the way you use your mind so that your aims and goals become your subconscious programmes, not just the wishes of your conscious mind.
I work from Brighton, but after the success of working online for over a year now, with clients in the comfort of their own homes, I offer all appointments online via Zoom.

What to expect from the FREE Initial Consultation
The Initial Consultation is an opportunity for us to explore how I can help you. You can explain your situation and what you would like to achieve, and we will discuss how hypnotherapy can help you. I will give you an overview of how your brain works in relation to why you have come to see me, how solution focused hypnotherapy works, and what you can expect from the sessions. It is a chance for you to ask any questions, so that you feel comfortable and informed about the process and the therapist you choose. This session typically lasts 30-45 minutes.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) - NCH / NCFE
- Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy (DSFH) - CPHT
I trained with CPHT Brighton, where I gained both my HPD and DSFH certificates. I am a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists (AfSFH) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy. (NCH). I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
As required by the governing bodies' membership, my work is supervised by a professional registered supervisor and I undertake a minimum of 15 hours of Continual Professional Development (CPD) training every year, ensuring that my skills and knowledge are based on the latest research and developments in the field.
Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
National Council for Hypnotherapy
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.
There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.

- £70.00 - individual session (one hour)
- 6-session package: £360
- 3-session phobia package: £200
- Smoking cessation: £180 (one 2-hour session, which does not require the Initial Consultation as everything will be covered in the session)
Appointments outside these times may be available on request.

“I’ve been smoker for nearly 30 years. Smoking has been part of me in a way. Since turning 50 (last year) I have been thinking of stopping smoking but never had the courage to even try. I thought that was impossible.
