My passion is supporting people change. Hypnotherapy is an effective, fast and practical approach and through reading the pages on this site will enable you to understand both that and the full range of emotional and therapeutic issues that this approach to healing can resolve. It is both a modern form of effective healing and a very ancient established one at the same time. I work effectively with and across the full range of hypnotheraputic and emotional issues.
My role as your therapist is not only to help you quickly recover, but also to demonstrate and show you new ways and understanding, to teach you to be your own coach. The pace of change in today’s world is fast. Simple and effective ways from the past are sometimes pushed aside and the new ideas and science can seem too complex to be of use. My job is to keep it simple and build with you positive ways that will work for you, the unique person you are.
My studies and qualification with the Institute of Clinical Hypnosis and The Human Givens Institute, as a counsellor as well as a hypnotherapist, have taught me how to apply the modern psychological and scientific approach in a simple fashion (without the ‘psychobabble’) and that what is important is teaching the client how our brain (through our physiology), our mind (through the patterns of behaviour we adopt) and our relationships (with ourselves, others and things) interrelate to cause us emotional upset. By supporting the client, like a Sherpa carrying the load for a short time, or maybe as a Teacher of the techniques and then as Guide pointing the way, my clients quickly heal and take back the control over their lives. I will simple work with and support them until they do!

It is my passion for peaople that I credit with the breadth of experience I have had; as a father, (a young!) grandfather, managing director, coach and lately lecturer, including my time working in schools with young people, prisons and helping the unemployed back to work.
And so my training is complimented by a breadth of personal and professional experience, which brings added depth and value to my clients.Some clients wish to explore deeper and further and I am experienced and trained in working with other forms of healing too, which works well in helping clients finding different and useful ways of changing their old patterns and moving towards new, positive ways of leading their lives.
This might include exploring their spiritual views, seeking guidance, counselling or even direction. I am trained to support that too.It takes courage and strength to ask for help. I will meet you there and encourage, support and suitably advise you through whatever is needed.

The majority of my clients enjoy the one to one approach, but also find to helpful be supported by a friend in the hypnotherapy room; that is a very helpful and useful way to work too. Similarly, many clients enjoy developing new skills by being taught and sharing experiences by attending workshops. This helps them mange their budgets too.
