About me

How would you like to say goodbye to anxiety and stresses?

Or support those you love who are struggling with their own mental health?

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy allows you to explore your own subconscious mind, recognising negative patterns and behaviours to build new positive solutions which will support you going forward and give you the ability to change.

I first experienced Clinical Hypnotherapy at a time when I was struggling to cope with the stresses and anxiety of my life. As a business owner and parent in a difficult relationship, I needed help and found it with hypnotherapy.

The sessions I experienced helped me though that time, and focused hypnotherapy recordings sustained me as I continued to build my business and support my family in the years to come.

In the last few years, I found myself returning to hypnotherapy as I worked through my own struggles and supported those around me with their mental health battles.

Benefitting from such an effective treatment, I wanted to provide this service to my own clients and so undertook the training in 2018/2019.

Working as a beauty therapist for over 30 years, I have supported my clients – providing calm, focus and time for them as well as the individual services they select from my list.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy allows us to take the next step, exploring those areas of life which are causing pain and anxiety as well as the behaviours which are creating barriers.

Supporting my clients with hypnotherapy has allowed them to find confidence and tools, helping them create the life they wish for.

As a Clinical Hypnotherapist, I’ll Support You to Become the Person You Wish to Be...

With an understanding of your goals and clear strategies to make changes in your life, you’ll find your days are more positive.

Maybe you have concerns about someone you love. We can’t always provide the support we’d like to for those in our care and feeling helpless as we watch them suffer is so hard. If you know someone who needs some help to find their way – maybe they could talk to me.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

The Mind Reboot program.

I have not only experienced the Mind Reboot program myself from James Banfield, but also have completed his accredited training so that I can now offer this to my clients.

My journey was incredible, emotional but cleansing. Clearing the things stuck in the bottom of my ‘bucket’. Elevating me even further and emerging as the person I really am.

The program is a therapeutic process delivered over around 6 one-hour sessions, using a combination of Neuroscience, Hypnosis, NLP, EFT, and Solution Focused principles to create fast measurable results.

Who is the Mind Reboot program for?

It is designed for people who are stuck in a rut, have a limiting belief about themself, have Imposter syndrome or are struggling with extreme stress or anxiety, all stopping you from moving forward with your life.

Testimonial

“I’ve been living with depression and anxiety for pretty much my entire adult life, and have had a psychiatrist, undertaken CBT, used neural technologies, had a therapist, and signed countless prescriptions over this time over this time and, while they all helped in one way or another, they didn’t help me tackle how to address my triggers in the here and now. So, I figured I’d give hypnotherapy a shot - what’s one more therapy, right???

Throughout this process, Josephine has really helped me understand the root cause of my depression and anxiety. Her Mind Reboot program helped me discover and deal with things that have been holding me back, process things properly, and truly release that grip that trauma can have on you, the fear, the snap reactions, the intrusive thoughts and the limiting beliefs, these have all been addressed and dealt with during our sessions.

I’m really grateful to have met Jo, the impact her program has had on my life over the past two months has really made such a difference to how I feel on a daily basis, and my anxiety has literally left the building.”

Testimonials

“I was feeling very overwhelmed with life in general everything seemed such a struggle and I always felt as though I was constantly chasing my time.  I became almost became obsessed with time feeling I had never had enough time to do things, this anxiety added to my already overwhelm and sent me in to a further spiral of anxiety.

I talked to a trusted friend about how I felt who happened to mention in passing about contacting Jo.  I did straight away and so glad I did I had an initial 1:1 session with her to talk through my anxieties.  Jo was so kind and lovely and instantly made me feel at ease and I felt I had surrendered myself once I had off loaded how I felt.  I felt such a sense of relief to explain how I felt and knew Jo would be able to help me.  Her calm non-judgmental approach instantly made me feel that I knew help was available.

The sessions have been great, and I found how Jo explains everything so easy to understand.  The simple diagrams how the brain works functions and processes situations made such sense as to why I was feeling the way I was.  I have stopped and reflected on these on many I occasions since completing my sessions.  Jo has taught me so many strategies to manage my anxieties, which are simple and easy to remember and can be used at any time, I am now able to identify when I can feel myself slipping back and am quickly able to implement the strategies which are always successful.

I can’t thank Jo enough for her support, the sessions have been brilliant.  I can’t believe how much better I feel and now have a toolbox of strategies to fall back on to help me.  It’s such a simple and straight forward process anyone who has anxieties or just issues they wish to address face or deal with should engage in solution focussed therapy I can’t praise Jo enough for how the sessions have helped me I am truly grateful and loving what I do and very happy with life.  With heartfelt thanks for listening and just helping me.”

“I had spent many months dealing with issues relating to my Fathers death and the impact on my Mothers mental and physical health.  During Covid the company I worked for was forced to downsize and I took redundancy.  I downsized after almost 35 years in the same house and the stress of the move was just one step too far.  I found sleeping very difficult and began using alcohol as a sedative.

I sought help regarding my alcohol use and hoped that hypnotherapy could help me understand my mental state and provide me with future coping strategies - thankfully it was very successful.

Jo was recommended to me by a mutual friend - we are not co-located but I found that remote therapy over Zoom worked really well for me.

I was very sceptical at the start of the process and was hardly able to string a sentence together - however by understanding the function of the key areas of the brain and provided with examples, tools and strategies, I was able to drag myself out of the mire and see myself and the world in a different more positive light.

I can now function again, possibly better than I've been for years and I'm able to enjoy life to the full whilst appreciating everything around me. More importantly I can spot when things are starting to slip and have strategies to cope and regain that positive feeling.

Thank you so much for your guidance and support.  I will definitely come back for refresher sessions in the future and will be the first to recommend your services if I come across anyone who needs help”

“I got in touch with Jo when I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with life - work, covid, family… I was feeling under pressure and unsure how to deal with the anxiety.  I felt sure Jo would give me an opportunity to work through some things which were causing the overwhelm; but it was also important that she’d give me some techniques to use when I felt under pressure.

Jo is easy to talk to, calm and supportive. Her approach to her therapy gave me real confidence and I felt that my understanding of the process was important, she really helped with that.

I got so much out of the sessions, Jo gave me the opportunity to work through whatever I needed to - some concerns from current situations and some from experiences in the past.

Thank you so much for your help and support Jo, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone have a conversation about how you could help them.”

“I came to Jo feeling down and struggling with everyday issues, everything seemed too much, and I wasn’t able to cope with things as well as I thought I should have done. As a male I found it difficult to confront things, however Jo guided me with a number of techniques to enable me to deal with issues and daily stresses, and I’m delighted to say they all really helped, combined with the hypnotherapy sessions I was a lot more relaxed, happier and managed to take more time for myself as well as changing my outlook and seeking the positives in situations. I couldn’t have asked for more! Highly recommended, don’t hesitate to speak to Jo.”
