About me

Thank you for visiting my profile.

I am a fully qualified clinical and solution focused hypnotherapist based in Huddersfield Town Centre.  I can offer both online and face-to-face therapy.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is an amazing tool which focuses on finding solutions for the present and future rather than the past. It is a totally positive therapy that guides you as you look ahead, changing your mind-set and enabling you to take control and move forward with your life confidently and positively.

I treat clients suffering from a range of issues including anxiety & stress, panic attacks, depression & low moods, lack of confidence & self-esteem, phobias, insomnia and OCD as well as eating problems, weight loss and wanting to quit smoking.

In addition, I help clients with addictions and dependencies including alcohol abuse, drug abuse, gambling addiction and food addiction by working to change addictive behaviours and lessen the withdrawal symptoms.  I also work with relatives of addicts to help to lessen their own anxiety & stresses.

I offer a free 'no obligation' Initial Consultation where we can talk in more detail about your issues and how I can help.  This first session also gives you the opportunity to ensure that you would like to work with me on your treatment.

The Initial Consultation normally takes around 50 minutes.  During the Initial Consultation, I will need to ask you for more information, brief personal and medical details. as well as the reason that you are looking at hypnotherapy for your condition and how we can help you.  I will then explain how the brain works, why you suffer in the way that you do and what we can do about it.  I will give you a 30 minute hypnotherapy relaxation track - either MP3 or CD, to take away with you.

Subsequent sessions are 50 minutes and you will normally need between 8 and 12 sessions for most issues (the exceptions are stopping smoking which is just one session between 90-120 minutes and phobias which are 4 sessions).  Usually sessions are once a week.

During the subsequent sessions, we will talk about the good things you have done in the week prior to the session, I will explain again about how the brain works in relation to your problem.  I will then use trance so we have access to the subconscious mind.  This is a process that produces increased awareness of the subconscious mind, heightened sense of suggestibility, and deep relaxation.  Hypnotherapy works because when we are relaxed and feeling safe we become open to suggestion.  The whole process helps you to understand how the brain works, how you can change and control your mindset and how to move forward positively.

Please call on 07904 500307 for an informal and confidential chat by phone or to book your free Initial Consultation.

I look forward to hearing from you.
