Jan Vinall MHS Dip Hyp CS & MNC (Accred) AD,Dip,CP
Hello, my name is Jan and welcome to my profile!
For your information with regard to the Corona Virus.
During this difficult time my therapy sessions are by either Skype or Zoom
I am a positive person with an optimistic and enthusiastic approach to life but who also has a firm understanding of the problems it can bring and also the solutions that can be found.
Having worked in the caring profession for many years this has prepared me for a second career as a professional hypnotherapist and counsellor. I am married and have brought up a family and have two grandchildren. I understand not only the stress and problems family life can bring but life in general can cause great anxiety and sometimes we are not sure what causes these feelings which creates more anxiety. I chose to become a hypnotherapist and counsellor because of my life experience and having had therapy in the past know that it can be such a positive life-changing experience.
I work with a range of life issues such as, anxiety, separation anxiety .stress, confidence, pain. phobias, weight. Anxiety can be extremely debilitating impacting on everyday life. Anxiety affects people in different ways, it is not the same for everyone ranging from social anxiety, general anxiety, panic attacks to taking exams and driving. Each is important as it stops you from doing the things you want to do. This also applies to whatever your issue is as it impacts on your life.
Hypnotherapy can really make help to make a difference to you
I also have a wealth of experience with addiction especially problems with alcohol and helping friends and relatives of people who suffer from these issues. I have also worked as a volunteer counsellor for a drug & alcohol agency for four years. Addiction not only affects one person it impacts on family and friends like a ripple a stone creates when thrown in a pond.
I can help you to make the positive changes that can enable you to become free from negative thoughts and behaviour patterns and these positive changes can stay with you on your journey through life.
Hypnotherapy I think can help a wide range of age groups from late teens that are beginning their life journey through to those of us who are reaching retirement or who have already retired and may find this life change a challenge. It may be a recent issue or one that has being there for some time. I know from my own experience that there are times in our lives when we need someone outside of family and friend. Life has a habit of giving us all sorts of challenges which can be repeated throughout our lives and then the time comes when we want to do something about it. We are all individuals so there is no “one size fits all” therapy so I will tailor the sessions especially for you.
The client /counsellor relationship is a very important part of therapy which is why I offer a free initial forty-five minute session so we can met and discuss your main issue and goals, answering any questions you may have especially if you have not been to hypnotherapy before. The prospect can seem somewhat daunting. At this initial session I will help you make an informed decision about what the next step is as it is important you find the right therapist for you.
Parking is not a problem as there are bays to use opposite my house and you can also park outside the house

"This was my first time with hypnotherapy and found it to be very helpful. I also found it very easy to talk to Jan, I felt very comfortable and very relaxed. Jan understood very well the problems I was having with my anxieties and the stress it was causing me. The help she gave me with hypnotherapy was very good. I can highly recommend Jan to anyone who is struggling in life with any kind of anxiety"
