About me

Hello, I am Elizabeth Blears ( DIP HYP CS. HS. GHR Affil.) a fully qualified, insured and accredited hypnotherapist registered with The National Hypnotherapy Society and The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council.

My passion is to help people overcome the psychological, physical, and emotional challenges they face in their lives to become the very best version of themselves. I work with clients on a wide range of challenges and I specialise in self-development encompassing: Stress management, confidence, self-esteem, and anxiety. I am a strong advocate that self-development is the greatest investment we can make, and it is not only for challenges but for progress. I practice from my therapy room and offer a warm, non-judgemental and solution focussed approach to support you in a safe, calm, and confidential way.

My Story … Before embarking on this vocation, I was an Operations Director in a fast paced and expanding business. Throughout my life and career, I have benefitted from therapy to give me the boost I have needed at times. I have always been enthusiastic about self-development, self-awareness, emotional control, and personal growth. Investing in myself and the people around me to achieve personal and professional goals. I always knew that one day I would retrain and focus my efforts on helping others reach their true potential.

My first personal experience of hypnotherapy was whilst navigating cancer treatment. I continued to work full time. My job was my saviour, where I could still find logic, drive, adrenaline, and success. But as my treatment continued, I didn’t just lose my hair, I lost myself and all my past disciplines were failing me. I turned to hypnotherapy, and I was amazed by the sense of well-being the relaxation alone provided me. Hypnotherapy gave me peace and unlocked my mental capacity at a time when no logic could reason the emotions. With hypnotherapy, I was able to feel in control and empowered to manage my experience as calmly and as positively as possible. I became fascinated by the scientific research of our minds alongside the evidence-based research of hypnotherapy - that’s why I became a clinical hypnotherapist.

It still amazes me how effective this treatment can be in helping people find their solutions and achieve their goals. I continue to invest in myself and my practice with further training and qualifications from continued professional development courses and I am working towards an additional level 5 professional diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling.
