About me

I'm a hypnotherapist with additional psychotherapeutic training who specialises in anxiety, adult ADHD/ADD, depression and emotional issues. My approach is informed by cutting-edge neuroscience, and it differs from other forms of traditional therapy in the deliberate use of altered mental states during which I can access unconscious parts of your brain (the limbic system) and address the problem directly at its source. This means that I can work with you more effectively and you can see positive results much quicker.

My model of therapy is progressive and adopts the most rapid and dynamic strategies from modern schools of talking therapies and combines them with the use of clinical hypnosis and mindfulness (MBSR and MBCT).
My therapeutic approach feels very natural as I tailor my methods to work with your specific needs. I weave psychotherapeutic techniques in our conversations, and through practical and experiential learning you will absorb new skills that will help you achieve focus, healthy emotion regulation and balanced mental states in difficult situations.  If you’re feeling confused, sad, lost or stuck, your mind is racing most of the time and you cannot complete any task, please reach out to me. I can help you get your life back on track!

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, Mindfulness Teacher and Trainee Integrative Psychotherapist (under the UK Council for Psychotherapy – UKCP). I also hold a Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Environmental Sciences from University College Dublin.

My scientific background (PhD) gives me the ability to skillfully analyse and bring out themes that provide insights and change of perspective and behaviours. This combined with a compassionate, person-centred approach developed by 14 years of personal Mindfulness Zen practice allows me to be present and focused on my clients’ requirements.

In my free time, I’m also a painter and exhibiting artist.

My creativity brings a valuable skill in therapy because it allows me to devise solutions to complex problems. I believe that therapy is as much an art as a science. It’s about painting intuitively with balance and harmony rather than ‘painting by numbers’.  I chose to practise the Integrative approach because it allows for flexibility, and the ability to work with a wide range of client groups in many different settings. It encouraged me to find my own voice and identity as a therapist, enabling me to understand deeply what causes human difficulties and unhappiness, and also what facilitates change.
