About me

I am a fully accredited and experienced Clinical Hypnotherapist, Addiction Therapist, Counsellor and Life Coach. A member of the GHR professional standards register.

My route to becoming a Clinical Hypnotherapist stretches back to the early 1990's when I first studied psychology and gained my Diploma (DipPsych). It was through using these skills in my professional life as a Sales Director that I became keen to develop as a Therapist in order to help people overcome their  problems.

I specialize in Addiction, Anxiety, Compulsion, Gambling addiction, Panic attacks, Phobia, PTSD, Trauma, Weight loss, Quitting Smoking, and Habit Removal but have a wealth of experience in so many other areas. There is no limit to what Hypnotherapy can help with, provided that there is a genuine desire to make positive change.

What drives me is my desire and ability to help people make positive change in their lives, and to do so in a way that is both right for them and long lasting.

I pride myself in getting positive results and, in most cases, results can be achieved in just a few sessions. I have a friendly, professional approach and work hard on establishing positive rapport with my clients. This is the key to effective treatment and trust plays a very important part. Hypnosis works with the subconscious mind and enables positive reprogramming through professional hypnotic induction and positive suggestion techniques. In most cases clients will see immediate results and each session is tailored completely to the intrinsic needs of the client. For more entrenched conditions a detailed treatment plan can be discussed.

Testimonials:-

"Its only been 24 hours but I already feel amazing! I'm a non smoker with a new positive attitude about my future. Thank you so much Dean for giving me my life back! Kerry L"

"Dean has given me my son back, I can't recommend him enough! After struggling with a traumatic even 6 months prior, my boy has changed. He was angry, drinking heavily and smoking cannabis. We saw 2 counsellors before Dean with no impact at all. then we try Positive Healing on the recommendation of a friend and my son really opened up. After just 3 sessions I have my boy back and his life is getting better! Thank you Dean!! Jane C"

"I contacted Dean because I felt I had no self worth, and I didn't like how I looked. I had no motivation and very low self esteem. I also struggled accepting that I am gay, even though I know that's who I am. I saw Dean and after my first session I felt really great, I then went on Holiday and even took my T-shirt off! I couldn't believe it! Every year before that I would just lay with my top on, but not now! I'm no longer embarrassed about my body. After my holiday I had two more sessions, I got motivated to sit my Prince 2 Exam and passed!! I am still seeing positive changes in myself every day. Thank you Dean! - Danny G"

"Dean has helped me greatly with a phobia which to others may have seemed trivial, but to me caused sleepless nights and a great deal of worry. l can highly recommend him for his care and highly professional manner" - Gill R.

"I went to see Dean seeking help for anxiety and insomnia. From the moment I met him he completely put me at ease and made me feel like getting well again was entirely possible! He spent lots of time learning about me, my life and my background and tailored a plan to fixing my underlying issues. Dean's approach is so positive and supportive and after finishing treatment I feel like a different person! :) would highly recommend! - Kirsty F"

"I was addicted to smoking Cannabis and Tobacco for 30 years and after just two sessions with Dean I am 'smoke free' and my life is improving daily - I can't recommend him highly enough! Craig G"

GHR
The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
